The chief priest of Daihikaku Senkoji wrote a goshuin while chatting with us. We had a blast talking about Ryoi Kadokura, who excavated the Oi River (Hozu River)!

We stayed in a room called "Tsuki no Oto" which has a balcony. Relax with a drink and listen to the sounds of nature.

Dinner18:30

at two restaurants
your favorite dinner

There are two restaurants in the hotel where you can enjoy a luxurious dinner. The fusion of kaiseki cuisine and French cuisine at "Kyoto Suiran" and the teppanyaki course at "Kanzan" are both excellent. For those who want to enjoy a meal in the comfort of their own room, room service is also available.

Night20:00

relaxing bath time

After dinner, enjoy an elegant bath time. Each guest room has a different bathtub, such as a Japanese-style open-air bath or a stylish bathtub. Amenities from the perfume brand Byredo are also available. If you're feeling tired, try one of the spa treatments that require a reservation and are available for a fee.

The bath salt provided in the room bath was soothing with the scent of cypress. After bathing, I put on a fluffy bathrobe and relaxed on the balcony.

the 2nd day

Morning05:00

About 4 minutes on foot from the inn

Togetsukyo x Asahi
My heart trembles...

Why don't you get up early on the second day and go see the superb view of Arashiyama? Being able to see the collaboration between Togetsukyo Bridge and the rising sun is the real pleasure of staying overnight. Capture picturesque scenery such as the madder river surface, pale pink clouds, and the shadows of small boats.

hanezuiro1206

Wake up early and go for a walk in search of scenery that can only be seen by staying overnight. I was so moved that I almost cried when I was able to see the sunrise over the Togetsukyo Bridge.

Breakfast08:00

A side view of the Japanese garden
Enjoy your choice of breakfast

After a refreshing morning walk, enjoy a breakfast at "Kyo-Suiran" where you can choose between Japanese and Western styles. The building used to be the villa of Mr. Shozo Kawasaki, the founder of Kawasaki Heavy Industries. You can spend the morning while looking out at the garden.

hanezuiro1206

I choose Japanese food. Starting with colorful fresh juices, there are many side dishes with elegant tastes typical of Kyoto.

Freetime10:00

until the last minute
I want to enjoy my stay

I would like to relax in my room until check-out. If you have a room with a balcony, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while admiring the view. It is also recommended to enjoy a bath in the reservation-only, fee-based private onsen open-air bath.

hanezuiro1206

I brewed coffee in the room and enjoyed it while listening to birds chirping on the balcony.

Check-out12:00

leave the inn

Once you have decided where to go
Leisurely departure

Check out is late at 12:00, so there is no need to rush. Check the directions to the temples and sightseeing spots you want to visit, ask the concierge for recommended spots, and be ready to go.

Sightseeing13:00

by rental cycle
Unique temple tour

There are plenty of rental bicycles around Arashiyama, so why not go around the sights by bicycle? There are many temples that you should visit at least once, such as Daikakuji Temple, which was once the imperial residence of Emperor Saga, Gioji Temple, which is famous for its moss garden, and Nisonin Temple, which is famous for its autumn leaves.

hanezuiro1206

Visit Daikaku-ji, Gio-ji, and Nison-in using a rental bicycle. After buying souvenirs at Randen Arashiyama Station, I was healed in the footbath, which is a privilege of renting a bicycle.
