"The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu" utilizes the school building of "Kyoto Municipal Shimizu Elementary School" with a history of about 80 years. The interior of the building, which has a design that blends Japanese and Western styles, has a luxurious yet nostalgic atmosphere. You can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere.
The inside of the building had the appearance of a school, and it was fun just to walk around.

Although it is located about an 8-minute walk to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, once you step inside the hotel grounds, you will find yourself in a quiet and relaxing space separated from the hustle and bustle of the surroundings.

There are 48 guest rooms in total. There are various types, including "Standard King" where the architecture of the school building remains. Furniture and items such as a tea set created by ceramic artist Tomohiro Uchida are also elegant. Enjoy quality time.
I stayed in the "Superior King". The white-based interior is very elegant and cute, and I took a lot of pictures as a reference for my home interior!

In the "Guest Lounge" exclusively for hotel guests, you can enjoy bite-sized snacks and sweets such as Kyoto Kiyomizu's famous sweets for free. They also have a variety of drinks, including fragrant coffee ground in a mill. There are seats where you can see the "Yasaka Pagoda", so you can fully enjoy the essence of Kyoto.
We had coffee and yatsuhashi. It was a wonderful cafe time while looking at "Yasaka Pagoda"! Also, it seems that you can experience making matcha.

"K36 Rooftop" is a sophisticated bar with a sense of openness. You can enjoy high-quality cocktails and dishes while overlooking the city of Kyoto. In addition, there is also "Benoit Kyoto" where you can enjoy bistro cuisine on the premises.
"K36 Rooftop" has both alcohol and food ◎. Above all, the view was the best! Especially recommended from evening to night. It was winter, but they prepared a stove and so on.

I enjoyed my bath time with the amenity bath salts. It is also a nice point that the powder room was a double bowl ♡

Kiyomizu-dera is one of Kyoto's most famous sights. It has a history of about 1200 years and is designated as a World Heritage Site. There are also many highlights such as the Kiyomizu Stage and the power spot Otowa Falls. How about taking a leisurely tour and thinking about history?
Walk from the hotel to Kiyomizudera. I was able to walk to “Sannenzaka” and “Yasaka Shrine” and did a lot of sightseeing.

Information from the accommodation
Our hotel is located on the approach to Kiyomizu-dera, and the street in front of the hotel is very crowded. Please be careful when coming by car or taxi. Please note that the hotel does not have its own parking lot.

We used the Shinkansen and train to go to Kiyomizu Gojo Station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the hotel. I took a short walk around the hotel while watching "Yasaka Pagoda".
