Impressed by the superb view from "Moonlight Bridge". A onsen ryokan you can enjoy the "Kinsen" flowing directly from the source
Arima Onsen Gekkoen Yugetsu Sanso Ochiba in the Rokko mountain range. It is a scenic onsen ryokan with "Takikawa" flowing in the hotel. Indulge yourself in onsen springs in the open-air bath where you can hear the sound of the river, or in the large public bath at the sister building. Kaiseki cuisine with plenty of Hyogo ingredients and healthy buffets are also popular. Spend a day filled with mind and body, healed by the superb view and onsen.

Experience
At an inn with a magnificent view of nature
2 days and 1 night to enjoy onsen and gastronomy
Mami, who traveled to Ikaho as a couple, will introduce her experience when she actually stayed at Arima Onsen Gekkoen Yugetsu Sanso.
First day
Start12:00
About 30 minutes by car from Sannomiya to the inn
When you arrive in Kobe
Cafe tour with him
While driving to Kobe city. First of all, let's enjoy a cafe tour with him. There are many stylish cafes where you can enjoy retro cafes and Kobe sweets, mainly in the Sannomiya/Motomachi area.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
Nestled in the mountains of Arima
Arrive at "Moonlight Garden"
"Gekkouen Yugetsu Sanso" is nestled in the quiet mountains at the back of Arima onsen town. A pure Japanese-style wooden ryokan surrounded by greenery is full of emotion. At the lobby lounge, you can enjoy a relaxing cup of tea while gazing at Mt.
The inn was built in the mountains, and a river was flowing nearby. You can enjoy the view of nature through the window from your room.
Room15:15
Healed by pure Japanese style
Nostalgic guest room
There are 40 guest rooms in total. All rooms are Japanese-style, and the calm atmosphere makes you feel like a hideaway. The 3 limited rooms "Yugetsutei" facing Takikawa and the "Kyokusuitei" guest room with an open-air bath are luxuriously built, and the scenery from the garden will soothe your soul.
We stayed in a 12 tatami mat Japanese-style room with an open-air bath. The scenery from the open-air bath is also full of nature and healed ♡
Freetime16:00
A yukata figure shines
Shooting time at Moonlight Bridge
The “Moonlight Bridge” that connects the lobby building and the guest room building is a photo spot that the inn is proud of. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery that changes depending on the season, such as cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, and snowscapes. Enjoy taking photos as a memory of your trip.
I changed into a yukata and took a walk around the building! Speaking of "Gekkouen", "Takikawa" and "Moonlight Bridge" are the highlights. I took a photo♪
Onsen17:00
In a private bath full of individuality
Extraordinary moments
Guests can use the private baths of the sister building Korokan. You can choose from 3 types of baths: cypress bath, cave bath, and wine bath. You can have a lively conversation with the two of you in this unusual bath.
I was able to reserve a private open-air bath at check-in. We chose from 3 types and took a cave bath. It was fun to feel out of place!
Dinner19:00
Buffet for in in-room dining
I like dinner
For dinner, you can choose in-room dining or have a half-buffet at the restaurant. In your room, you can enjoy an elegant Japanese banquet served one by one. There are also luxurious courses perfect for special occasions, such as grilled Kobe beef and lobster sashimi.
Due to the corona misfortune, I chose to in-room dining. The main meat was very tender and delicious!
Onsen21:00
Healed by "Kinsen"
Large public bath with open-air bath
In the open-air bath surrounded by greenery, you can enjoy Arima onsen 's "Kinsen" flowing directly from the source. Relax your mind and body while listening to the murmuring of Takigawa. You can also use the large communal bath with sauna at the sister building Korokan.
the 2nd day
Breakfast08:00
with your choice of breakfast
Satisfied from the morning
For breakfast, you can choose between a Japanese-Western buffet and a Japanese-style set meal that you can enjoy at the restaurant or in your room. The popular buffet features healthy dishes made with local vegetables and rice flour bread made with Sanda rice.
Breakfast was also in-room dining, so I was happy from the morning that I could enjoy it at my own pace!
Check-out10:00
leave the inn
Memories of your trip
Check Arima Souvenirs
The souvenir shop inside the museum has a wide range of souvenirs, including Arima's famous ``Sudan senbei'' and ``Arima brush'', as well as sweets and miscellaneous goods. It's open from 7:00 in the morning, so why not stop by before checking out to find your favorite item?
All the staff members were very polite to the customers, and it was nice to see them off on the way home.
Sightseeing11:30
About 1 hour by car from the inn
beautiful white stucco
Impressed by National Treasure "Himeji Castle"
Himeji Castle, which is a World Cultural Heritage Site and a National Treasure, is also known as the Hakuro Castle. Take a leisurely stroll while viewing the shining white castle walls and one of Japan's largest castle towers.
Return trip15:00
At a onsen ryokan in the forest
Relaxing and relaxing two days
A two-day, one-night stay where you can be healed by the rich nature of Arima and the 100% onsen. Satisfy yourself with Arima Onsen Gekkoen Yugetsu Sanso 's sea and mountain products and photogenic spots.
He who loves onsen was very pleased with the large public bath and the private open-air bath. Of the three types of private open-air baths, I would like to try the other two as well.

Stayed in August 2021
I drove there from Aichi. Before going to ryokan, I ate Kobe beef for lunch and went to a stylish cafe. The summer-only iced coffee looks great ♡
