Travel to Awaji Island with children ♪
2 days and 1 night to relax
A woman who enjoyed a trip to Awaji Island with her husband and her 1 year and 7 months old son to celebrate her wedding anniversary will introduce the course when she actually stayed at "Kaigetsukan".
First day
Start11:00
About 1 hour by car from Kobe Station to the inn
enjoying the drive
Cross the bridge to Awaji Island ♪
It takes about 1 hour by car from around Kobe station to the inn. Let's enjoy the detour as we go. The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which connects Kobe City and Awaji Island, is a great view spot! The world's longest suspension bridge is full of openness, and the feeling of traveling is heightened.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
stand in front of the beach
To a child-friendly inn
Check in at an inn located right next to "Ohama Beach". "Kagetsukan" has been certified as a "welcome baby inn" by Miki House Child Care Research Institute, and has a friendly atmosphere for families with children. "Baby plan" with various benefits is ◎.
The lady who carried my luggage from the parking lot was smiling, friendly and very nice! The front desk was spacious and the sofa was soft and fluffy, so I was able to get rid of my driving fatigue.
Room15:15

Relaxing room
There are 69 rooms in total. There are various types of rooms, from Japanese-style rooms to rooms with open-air baths, and the upper floors offer a panoramic view of the sea. In the "baby plan", you can prepare DVDs and baby amenities in the Japanese-Western style room. Privilege such as diaper present is fulfilling, too.
A trash can for diapers, soap, chairs and tableware for babies, picture books and toys were also provided. Having less luggage is really helpful for families with children!
Onsen16:00
with ocean view
Relax in the hot onsen bath
There are two indoor baths and an open-air bath in the hotel, where you can enjoy a relaxing onsen bath in front of the panorama of the Kitan Strait. The baths are alternated between men and women, so you can enjoy the different atmospheres in the morning and evening.
The large public bath is equipped with a baby bed and a bath chair (men's bath too)! There was also an open-air jacuzzi bath, and the children were very curious. It's the best to enter while looking at the sea under the blue sky ~ ♪
Freetime17:00
until dinner time
explore the hall
There are various facilities on the premises, such as a souvenir shop that also sells baby products, karaoke, an arcade, a table tennis table, and a free outdoor pool that is only available during the summer. You can spend time with your child without getting bored.
The souvenir shop also sells diapers, baby food, and sunscreen for babies. So wonderful...!
Dinner18:00
Awaji ingredients in your room
Plenty of kaiseki cuisine
Dinner is a Japanese kaiseki course that uses plenty of seafood from Awaji Island. In the case of the "baby plan", in-room dining, and baby tableware and chairs are available for rent. You can enjoy a leisurely feast with your family.
Sea bream, spiny lobster, abalone, heaping sashimi of seasonal fish, steak, sea bream boiled rice, and plenty of Awaji ingredients will satisfy you! I ordered udon from the kids menu for my child.

Morning07:00
A short walk from the inn
first thing in the morning
walk on the beach
"Ohama Beach" is beautiful with white sand and clear water. You can enjoy swimming in the summer on the calm, shallow beach. The pine grove called “Thousand Black Pine” is also a highlight. Enjoy a leisurely walk while listening to the sound of the waves.
The beach is right behind ryokan. It's a very beautiful sea, so I think you can enjoy it just by taking a walk.
Breakfast08:00
enjoy what you like
Japanese and Western breakfast buffet
Breakfast is Japanese and Western cuisine using vegetables from Awaji Island and seasonal seafood. It's a buffet style, so both Japanese and Western food lovers can enjoy it.
In the morning, there was a Japanese/Western buffet. The venue was spacious and I was able to relax without worrying about other guests ◎
Check-out10:00
leave the inn
dress well
check out
After breakfast, relax in your room while gazing at the ocean. Before checking out, stop by the souvenir shop to buy snacks, diapers, and other baby goods, and be ready to go sightseeing♪
When I left, my son waved goodbye to the staff. My son is shy, so both my husband and I were surprised! I feel warm.
Lunch12:00
About 45 minutes by car from the inn
In "BUCHI"
Enjoy a superb view and lunch
To the restaurant "BUCHI" overlooking "Akashi Kaikyo Bridge". You can enjoy creative Italian cuisine using ingredients from Awaji Island, such as vegetables and fresh fish harvested in the morning, and Awaji beef, a local specialty. The sophisticated atmosphere is perfect for couples' anniversaries.
We had an Italian lunch that made use of vegetables from Awaji Island. You can see the superb view of "Akashi Kaikyo Bridge" in a restaurant with an adult atmosphere! It's nice at night
