Experience
Enjoy the ocean view and onsen
Accomodation for 2 days and 1 night with a baby
We will share the experience of a woman who traveled to Awaji Island with her husband and their newborn child and stayed at the Grand Mercure Awajishima Resort & Spa.
First day
Start10:00
About 45 minutes by car from Akashi Kaikyo Bridge to the inn
Enjoy superb views and gourmet food
Leisurely driving trip
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which connects Honshu and Awaji Island, is one of the world's largest suspension bridges. It is a scenic spot where the contrast between the sea and the sky is beautiful. Near the hotel is "Michi-no-Eki Uzushio" overlooking the Naruto Strait. You can also enjoy gourmet dishes such as seafood rice bowls and Awaji burgers.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
Surrounded by sea and greenery
Arrive at resort hotel
The hotel is located overlooking the Onaruto Bridge, which connects Shikoku and Awaji Island. Check-in is in a spacious lobby reminiscent of a tropical resort. In the lounge, you can enjoy free soft drinks, including beer and wine.
The person in charge helped me unload my luggage from the car! Amenity is style to take from the front desk. It seems that you can play in the pool even before check-in ♪
Room15:15
Baby room and Japanese-style room
Have fun in your favorite room
The rooms are over 35㎡ in size, allowing you to relax. If you stay on the ocean side, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the Seto Inland Sea. You can see the sun setting over the Naruto Strait. There are also rooms for families and infants. The rooms can accommodate up to six people, making them perfect for family trips.
Since I am traveling with a baby, I stayed in a twin room with an extra bed. It was spacious and had a great view! I was able to spend a relaxing time even with a lot of luggage such as a stroller.
Activity15:45
Parent and child can play ♪
pool and kids corner
The summer-only outdoor pool is divided into 1m and 30cm depths, so you can play according to your height. The parasols that can be used freely by the pool are also nice. On days when the weather is not good, go to the kids' corner with picture books and toys♪
There is also a pool for children with a depth of 30 cm. Baby cots are available in the locker rooms.
Onsen18:00
Complete with children's goods ♡
Healing time at onsen
onsen water in the large public bath, Nandan Onsen, is said to warm the body easily, so you will feel warm even after getting out of the bath. There are plenty of baby goods, so you can enjoy bathing with your children. After taking a bath, there is a tatami space in the rest area, so you can relax.
In the large public bath, there is a kids' space, a crib, a child's chair, and even body soap for babies! I was able to afford even one surgery ◎ I was healed by a hot onsen.
Dinner19:00
Unique to Awaji Island
Savor the bounty of the sea and land
For dinner, enjoy the buffet at the venue on the first floor. You can enjoy luxurious ingredients such as the chef's "BLT Burger", the unique creative dish "Monaka Sushi", and "Roast Beef" that goes well with wine. You can also enjoy free-flowing beer and wine.
I was surprised by the all-you-can-eat baby food! The fish is especially delicious at Japanese restaurants. Since I had a child, I rarely meal slowly, so I was really happy.
Night21:00
Take a break before going to bed
Let's get together
Before going to bed, warm up in onsen and relieve the fatigue of the day. After the bath, enjoy a refreshing vinegar drink. We also offer sweet sake in the evening. In the lounge, you can enjoy wine, sparkling wine, and other alcoholic beverages. Perfect for a nightcap.
the 2nd day
Morning06:30
at a viewing spot
refreshing morning walk
If you wake up early, enjoy the seaside view. Watch the sunrise from the balcony of your room or stroll through the hotel's courtyard. The elevator hall is a hidden photo spot where you can take pictures of the beautiful view of the Naruto Strait.
The sunrise is really beautiful! Watching the sun rise over Fukura Bay from the veranda and listening to the voice of the nightingale will make you feel refreshed. It was a really luxurious time.
Breakfast07:30
You can also enjoy local cuisine
A Japanese and Western breakfast
Please enjoy breakfast at the venue on the first floor. After enjoying a smoothie to wake you up, head to the food corner. You can enjoy Japanese dishes such as sashimi, onion soup, and Awaji beef croquettes, as well as Western dishes such as petit hot dogs and pancakes. Enjoy a mix of Japanese and Western cuisines♪
Great variety and satisfaction! The seafood bowls and sandwiches I made were really delicious, and my husband and I ate about 4 servings ♪ There are also things that children can eat, such as steamed vegetables and fried eggs.
Check-out11:00

Carrying memories
check out
Before checking out, you can stroll around the grounds, take in the scenery, or relax in the lounge. The pool, which is open for a limited time every year from mid-July to the end of August, can be used even after checking out. Once you've had your fill, it's time to head out.
There are many families and there are many services for children, so I was able to enjoy my first trip with a baby. Adults can also be satisfied, and it's no wonder it's popular!
Check-out15:00
onsen in the pool, island gourmet
Two days to enjoy the resort
Grand Mercure Awajishima Resort & Spa is packed with facilities perfect for families. After playing in the pool, relax in onsen. Fill your stomach with Awajishima gourmet food for dinner. Why not take a trip to Awajishima that will bring smiles to the faces of both adults and children?
Not only the room, but also the view of the hotel was open, with the sea and greenery visible. My husband seemed to enjoy the delicious breakfast buffet, so he refilled it many times.

Stayed in July 2022
While avoiding nectar, stop by various spots and go to the inn. Since we left early in the morning, we didn't get stuck in traffic and enjoyed the scenery from the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge♪
“Ayuya Falls” is overwhelmed by the amount of water and its transparency.
There is a space where you can park your car and eat at the famous gelato shop "Verde Tenero".
