Relax in a room with an open-air bath.
2 days and 1 night stay at Ito onsen
A woman who enjoyed a trip to Izu with him will introduce the course when she actually stayed at "Ito Onsen Ito Kowakien" along with her impressions.
First day
Start13:00
About 10 minutes by shuttle car from Ito Station to the hotel
On the limited express "Odoriko"
Leisurely to Izu
It takes less than 2 hours from Tokyo Station by limited express "Odoriko". Head to Ito City, a city on the east side of the Izu Peninsula, while slowly enjoying the occasional seascape. There is a free shuttle service from JR Ito Station to the inn, making it easy to access even if you have a lot of luggage.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
in a calm space
check in
Upon arrival at ryokan, you will be greeted by a warm lobby. A beautiful table made from a single zelkova board is impressive. Have a welcome drink on the spacious sofa and take a break.
Room15:15
peace of mind
Adult-only room
The rooms are for adults only and children are not allowed. There are 7 rooms in total, each with a different size. There is a Japanese-style room where you can relax and a terrace like a veranda overlooking the garden. The bedding from "Airweave" that pursues quality sleep and the comfortable work clothes are also attractive.
We had a room called "Shikine". It was a Japanese-style room with a sense of security that made me feel as if I had returned to the countryside.
Onsen16:00
In the guest room open-air bath
Enjoy free-flowing hot spring water
The open-air baths in all rooms are large enough for two adults to enter. While gazing at the garden and the starry sky, you can enjoy the free-flowing hot spring water. There is a bathrobe that you can easily put on, so you can feel comfortable after taking a bath. Once your body has warmed up, be even more soothed with a room esthetic or massage.
You can spend a relaxing time in the open-air bath in your room. In addition to the open-air bath, there is an indoor bath with a washing area, and you can enjoy onsen here as well.
Dinner18:30
Enjoy in-in-room dining
Japanese course meal
Dinner is served in your room, which is a great option. The course menu is mainly Japanese cuisine, and you can enjoy the seasonal flavors of Izu, such as sashimi caught at Ito Port. You can also choose from meat, shellfish, or fish dishes for the main course. You can also request a celebratory cake with a reservation in advance, so be sure to check it out for special occasions.
Every dish was delicious and I was full. The simmered sea bream is especially recommended. Goes well with claypot rice!
Onsen20:30
In the mood for a night stroll
To the public bath in the main building
During your stay, you can also use the large public bath at the adjacent main building "Ito Kowakien". Why don't you visit in the mood of visiting hot springs? The hot water is the same as the open-air bath in the guest room, a weakly alkaline simple onsen with a pH of 8.4. It is said to be a "beautiful skin hot spring" that removes dirt and dead skin cells from the skin.
There is a hot spring place in the main building, and I tried drinking onsen water! Also, I got a chimaki for a late-night snack and became full (^^)
the 2nd day
Morning06:30
as soon as you wake up
Morning bath in your room
One of the charms of the guest room open-air bath is that you can enjoy onsen as soon as you wake up. Wrap yourself in the fresh morning air and relax your body. The room has amenities such as lotion and a separate washbasin, so you can enjoy skin care and getting dressed in the morning.
Amenities were all there! When I stayed, there was also a lotion and milky lotion from "Sekkisei" and a pack that was soaked in onsen water (^^)
Breakfast08:00
Japanese breakfast
slowly in your room
Breakfast can be served in your room between 7:30 and 9:00. Rice cooked in an earthenware pot, fragrant freshly grilled dried fish, and warm Japanese side dishes. There is also a fresh salad and plenty of nutrition. Let's charge the energy of the day.
Breakfast was also very good. It's an amount that will fill you up in the morning (laughs). Since it was a in-room dining, I was able to eat slowly without worrying about my surroundings.
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
Enjoy an after-dinner drink
check out
There is a coffee machine in the room so you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee whenever you like. There is also beer, coffee milk, water, etc. in the refrigerator. Enjoy your favorite drink and relax until check-out time.
There was a shuttle from ryokan to the station. The staff, including the waitresses, were polite to the customers, and I wanted to come back to stay again!
Sightseeing11:30
About 20 minutes by car from the inn
Izu Cactus Zoological Park
Touch and experience ♩
The Izu Shaboten Zoological Park is a vast green area where you can see about 1,500 types of cacti, and enjoy interacting with various animals such as red pandas, capybaras, anteaters, and sloths. There are many indoor facilities, so you can play all day regardless of the weather.
Rent a car and explore Ito city. "Izu Shaboten Zoological Park" is highly recommended for animal lovers because you can touch a lot of animals!
Return trip15:00
healed a lot
to go home
A two-day, one-night trip at Ito Onsen Ito Kowakien. You can enjoy onsen and meal in the comfort of your room, and you can enjoy the time alone with your loved ones. With good access from the Tokyo metropolitan area and the nearest station, it is perfect for when you want to heal your mind and body.
Anyway, it was an inn where the food was delicious! It was nice to be able to enjoy conversation with him without worrying about the surroundings because it was in-room dining.
