The welcome service of plum kelp tea and jelly was delicious. The large lobby was also nice.

We stayed in a 12-tatami mat Japanese-style room. I liked the fact that the room with the bed and the room where you eat and relax are separate. There was also a massage chair ♡

I enjoyed onsen with my boyfriend in a private bath ♡ I liked it because it was beautiful and relaxing. We recommend the Kigokoro no Yu, which has a 1 hour and 15 minute time limit.

Dinner is a multi-course dinner made with plenty of Gunma ingredients. You can taste the bounty of Gunma with plenty of flavor, such as Kami-shu beef, Kami-shu pork, Gunma's finest rainbow trout "Ginhikari" and locally grown vegetables. It's also nice ♪ to have a in-room dining plan
I ate a standard kaiseki meal in my room. A lot of gorgeous and delicious dishes using ingredients from Gunma! Joshu pork soup shabu-shabu was especially delicious ♡

The public baths are located on the 2nd and 8th floors, and you can enjoy two types of natural onsen, Kogane-no-Yu and Shirogane-no-Yu. The view bath on the 8th floor is especially recommended. Refresh yourself in the morning with a view of the majestic Haruna mountain range.
I went to the public bath before breakfast. It was nice, clean and spacious. The scenery was good, and I was able to enjoy it in a different way from a private bath.

Breakfast is a buffet with a focus on Japanese cuisine. There is a wide array of healthy and colorful side dishes that use plenty of locally grown vegetables. Recharge your energy for the day with freshly fried crispy tempura and freshly baked omelets.
Breakfast was a buffet. What was interesting was that I was able to make small kamameshi from a mountain pass! I was able to enjoy the buffet with peace of mind because I was properly taken care of against infectious diseases.

You can purchase Gunma specialties at the souvenir shop “Yoi Machi Shop” inside the museum. You might find your favorite items such as onsen steamed buns, Yunohana castella, and Japanese miscellaneous goods. It is also nice to relax in the footbath at the end.

The symbol of Ikaho, "Ikaho onsen Stone Steps", has many souvenir shops and meal. At the top of the 365 stone steps are Ikaho Shrine and Kajika Bridge, which are also popular as power spots.
Climb the famous stone steps. There was a shop on the way, and it was a blink of an eye if I climbed while looking at it. I also ate soft cream!

Go to Gunma by car. I ate Takasaki's specialty pasta at Takasaki's "Shango Tonyacho Main Store" and went shopping at "Yamatoya", a coffee and pottery shop.

"Hotel Matsumotoro" is about a 10-minute walk from the stone steps. After passing through the Japanese-style entrance, you will be greeted by the modern Yoimachi Lounge. The path to the room is also decorated with colorful “dream lights” and cute retro interiors.
Take a break with kelp tea and plum jelly. The hospitality is wonderful, and I was impressed from the beginning that "a onsen inn with kindness and contact" is perfect.

There are various types of rooms, including modern Japanese-style rooms, Western-style rooms, and suites with open-air onsen. If you are traveling as a girl, we recommend staying in a stylish and relaxing Japanese-style room. You can choose the size from 6 to 12 tatami mats, so it's OK for a small group or a group!
I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room. The room is spacious and clean. The camellia-patterned decorative shelf is stylish and the tension has risen!

I did a hotel search with my friend! There was a footbath on the first floor, so I relaxed there and healed the fatigue of the trip.

Dinner is a kaiseki meal that focuses on Gunma's local production for local consumption. If you are a meat lover, we recommend the “Upgrade Kaiseki”, which uses Joshu beef as the main dish. There are plenty of Gunma specialties such as Tsumagoi cabbage, edible wild plants, and in-room dining.
I had a luxurious Japanese meal at my dream in-room dining! The salad dressing was delicious, so I bought it at the store and still use it. (Online sales are also available!)

The two large public baths are alternated between men and women. Come in twice a day, morning and night, and enjoy both. From the open-air bath “Kissho no Yu” on the 8th floor, you can see the mountains of Ikaho. Along with the night view and starry sky, enjoy the two onsen of Ikaho, "Kogane no Yu" and "Shirogane no Yu".

Ikaho's specialty products are lined up at the souvenir shop "Yoi Machi Shop". In particular, "Matsumotoro" original handmade konnyaku and "Matsumotoro gomasu" are unique to this place. It would be nice to buy matching Japanese miscellaneous goods with your friends as a memory of your trip.
I wanted to go to Ishidan-gai, but I was having trouble with my luggage, so the staff kindly took care of it for me, and even drove me to Ishidan-gai.

Around Ishidangai, there are many shops selling local gourmet foods such as Yunohana Manju and Tama Konnyaku. Also, don't forget Mizusawa udon. About 10 minutes by car from Ishidangai, you will find the Mizusawa Udon Kaido, where famous restaurants gather!
I ate onsen steamed buns at Ishidangai, and then had udon and maitake mushroom tempura from Ganso Tamaruya. Coffee and pound cake from "Nohana" next door are also delicious!
