Experience
At the incognito solitary inn
2 days to enjoy family time
A woman who visited Okuikaho on a family trip will introduce the course when she actually stayed at "Okuikaho Ryotei?Kaichoro?Ryokan".
First day
Start12:00
About 86 minutes by car to the inn
To Karuizawa Outlet
stop-by drive
Ikaho and Karuizawa are about an hour and a half away by car. First of all, enjoy the drive before going to the inn. "Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza" is a commercial facility with about 200 stores such as clothes, miscellaneous goods, and restaurants. Great for lunch and shopping.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
walk the corridor of light
check in gracefully
The hospitality of "Xianchurou" starts from the reception at the parking lot. You will be led to your room from a golden, fantastical floor called the “corridor of light” and check in with a welcome drink and original wasanbon.
It was a type of inn without a front desk, so I went directly to the room and checked in. We received welcome champagne and juice, and felt luxurious.
Room16:00
All rooms with open-air baths
Take your time to the next level
There are only 8 Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths with different layouts. Overlooking the Japanese garden on the premises and the Haruna mountains in the distance, you will be soothed by the Ikaho onsen "Shirogane no Yu", which was discovered in the Heisei era. Enjoy a good night's sleep on your travels with bedding carefully selected by a sound sleep therapist.
We stayed in a room with an open-air bath. You can see the lush green garden through the large window glass, and the large open-air bath is soothing.
Dinner18:00
Taste elegantly in a private room
Freshly made creative kaiseki
For dinner, we will move to the private Saryo room and enjoy a creative Japanese kaiseki meal using ingredients from Gunma and seasonal fish delivered directly from the fishing port. The food served in the artist's utensils stimulates all five senses, from the eyes to the tongue. Enjoy delicious food and drinks from around the world.
I was able to enjoy the dishes that matched the dishes with my eyes. The chateaubriand and the last chicken rice are exquisite. Champagne, wine, sake and sake have progressed.
Night21:00
in a comfortable space
enjoy the night
Let's spend a relaxing time at night by using the hotel facilities such as a self-bar night lounge that guests can use, a completely private room all-hands spa, and a private bath in the main building where you can enjoy Ikaho's old hot spring "Kogane no Yu". .
After dinner, we had a good time doing what each family likes, such as taking an open-air bath in our room, drinking alcohol, and reading a book.
the 2nd day
Morning06:00
In the morning bath at dawn
Start your special day
You can soak in the two famous hot springs of Ikaho from the morning in the large baths in the main building Fukuichi, which have "golden hot water" and "silver hot water", and in the guest room open-air baths in the Hainanro, which have "silver hot water" drawn in. Wake up early and start your day with a fresh start.
In the morning, I took a leisurely bath in the open-air bath in my room while gazing out at the garden. A bath in the quiet morning is also exceptional.
Breakfast08:00
I'm happy with freshly cooked rice
Warm Japanese meal
In the morning, enjoy a healthy Japanese meal in a private room at Saryo. Start your day energetically with hearty dishes from the morning, such as smoothies, fresh vegetables, and completely pesticide-free Koshihikari pot-cooked rice.
There were about 10 small side dishes in a small bowl, and I thought it was a lot, but it was delicious. The dessert pudding after the meal was also very delicious.
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
Enjoy the famous hot spring again
check out
A little more time to enjoy everyday life in a private space. Until check-out, you can fully enjoy Ikaho's famous hot springs and natural scenery in the open-air bath of your room as if you were reluctant to say goodbye.
After breakfast, I enjoyed the open-air bath many times until I checked out, thinking that I would like to stay here forever.
Shopping12:00
About 45 minutes by car from the inn
Gunma limited rusk
Get it as a souvenir!
"Gateau Festa Harada" is a shop based in Gunma that manufactures and sells baked sweets centered on rusks that are expanding nationwide. Gunma at the head office in Takasaki City, you can tour the factory and purchase limited edition products.
I bought souvenirs while climbing the stone steps of "Ikaho onsen Town". After that, I visited "Shorinzan Darumaji Temple" and bought a lot of rusks at "Gateau Festa Harada".

Stayed in January 2021
Since I passed through the Joshinetsu Expressway, I stopped by "Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza" and ate a hamburger at "Kuaaina". The potatoes here are delicious!
