Pass through the bustle of the onsen town and arrive at the onsen ryokan “Tokiwakan”. On the site of about 1,200 tsubo, there are wooden accommodation buildings that surround a Japanese garden. The interior has a Japanese atmosphere. You can forget your daily life and have a relaxing time.
I was happy that the staff who welcomed me was very polite and helpful. I was able to choose my favorite colored yukata♪

Relaxing time
There are 23 guest rooms in total. You can choose from a Japanese-style room with a view of the garden, a room with an open-air bath, or a detached room with a cypress bath where you can enjoy a luxurious feeling. Change into a colored yukata, sit on the veranda and relax while looking out at the garden. I'm starting to feel like I'm in vacation mode...
We stayed in a Japanese-style room overlooking the courtyard. There is no sound of cars, only the chirping of birds. I was able to spend a relaxing time in a quiet space.

The large public bath for women has an indoor bath and an open-air bath made of cypress. Relax in the Kinosaki onsen which is said to have been bubbling up for 1,400 years. Your daily fatigue will melt away.

If you come to Kinosaki, visiting the hot springs is a must. There are seven unique outdoor baths in the hot onsen town, including "Ichinoyu," which is said to be the best in the world, and "Konoyu," which has an open-air garden bath. Drop by in your yukata and find your favorite hot spring.
After relaxing in the open-air bath inside the inn, we enjoyed visiting the hot springs. It's fresh because I don't have a chance to wear a yukata and go out! The local beer after the bath was the best.
Dinner19:00
Relax in your room
Enjoy Kinosaki's seasonal vegetables
Dinner is served in your in-room dining. You can enjoy your meal with your friends without hesitation. In addition to the kaiseki course meals that change monthly, such as crab and Tajima beef, hot pot plans such as Tajima duck hot pot and seafood sukiyaki hot pot are also popular.
I ate monthly kaiseki. There were small pots, crabs, tempura and single dishes, all of which were delicious. Mr. Nakai welcomed me while talking happily.

I had a relaxing time with my friends while drinking craft beer in the room. After that, we went outside and took pictures of the scenery of Kinosaki onsen at night!

Stayed in May 2021
There are souvenir shops, cafes, and onsen between the station and the inn, so I enjoyed walking around. We had lunch at a long-established sushi restaurant called "Wori Tsuru".
