Chiba /Kamogawa, Minamiboso/ ryokan

The appeal is the extremely fresh seafood delivered directly from the port and the private bath overlooking the sea. An inn where you can feel at ease with thoughtfulness

Houraiya ryokan is a cozy inn with only 11 rooms, and has many repeat guests for its highly satisfying and heartfelt service. Experience

Him and two Minamiboso drive
A trip to enjoy ryokan meal and onsen

I will introduce the course when he and the woman who traveled to the Boso Peninsula actually stayed at "Horaiya ryokan".

Start12:00

About 2 hours and 30 minutes by car to the inn

enjoying the drive
Lunch in service area

Drive from Tokyo to Minamiboso where there is a onsen inn. The breeze of the bay and the scenery of Boso heighten your travel mood. In order to enjoy dinner at ryokan, have a quick lunch at a service area along the way.

Stayed December 2020

Aiming for check-in at 15:00, we left slowly by car before noon. After having a light lunch in the service area, I visited ryokan.

Check-in14:45

Arrive at the inn

in order of check-in
You can choose the time of the chartered bath

When you arrive at a small inn, park your car in the parking lot in front of the entrance. The hotel staff will welcome you with a smile. In addition, you can choose the time slot for the private bath according to the order of check-in.

Arrive a little before check-in time. From the moment I was greeted, I was guided with a smile, and I am looking forward to being taken care of by this ryokan even more.

Room15:00

Take a rest in a calm guest room

There are 3 types of Japanese-modern rooms, including general rooms, rooms with bathrooms, and special rooms. Relaxing atmosphere in every room. May you be filled with peace.

popomumcz

Stayed in a 10-tatami mat Japanese-style room. Unfortunately the weather was bad, but it was still soothing to see the sea from the window of the room.

Relax16:00

In your room or in the building
Plenty of healing time

In your room, you can relax in a massage chair or watch Netflix on the TV. There is also an open-air observation bath in the building. Men can enjoy the "Jade" bath, and women can enjoy the "Benhi" bath, where you can enjoy the spectacular collaboration of the sky and the sea.

After enjoying the scenery and massage chairs in your room, go to the open-air bath. It was right at dusk, and it was very pleasant to be in a chartered state while enjoying the sunset.

Dinner18:00

From alfonsino to spiny lobster
Gourmet seafood that you eat too much

You can enjoy two types of alfonsino: boiled and shabu-shabu. The simmered sauce is exquisite when eaten over white rice! You can enjoy the delicious food of the port town, such as fresh seafood and spiny lobster.

“Exciting Kaibara Gozen Kinmedai Zukushi” The visual and taste of a whole large, fatty alfonsino, plump spiny lobster, and fresh seafood sashimi were the best.

Onsen21:00

feel the sea breeze at night
The dreamy feeling of immersing yourself in a private bath

The reserved open-air bath “Seiran” can be used exclusively for 40 minutes. Enjoy the unobstructed view and the pleasant sea breeze.

popomumcz

I enjoyed the reserved open-air bath. Although the hot water was rather hot, it was a very comfortable time as I was repeatedly bathed in the night breeze and submerged.

the 2nd day

Morning06:00

waking up refreshed
Get power from the rising sun

Wake up refreshed in the morning after a good rest in onsen. Looking at the sun rising over the sea from the window of your room will give you strength.

popomumcz

I enjoyed the sunrise because I could see the sunrise from the window. It was winter, but it wasn't too cold because it was indoors, and I was energized by seeing the sun peeking out from the sea all the time.

Breakfast07:00

For a healthy Japanese breakfast
Miso soup with spiny lobster

A variety of Japanese dishes are also available for breakfast. Enjoy a hearty breakfast made with local produce, such as miso soup with seafood stock, dried fish, and boiled Hijiki seaweed, a specialty of Boso.

popomumcz

Since I had a rich meal, Ise shrimp miso soup was included. It wasn't as exciting as the night, but I was able to enjoy delicious and healthy Japanese food.

Freetime08:45

free time before departure
A quick bath ◎

If you have time between your meal and check-out, we recommend taking a morning bath. Enjoy the open-air bath and onsen until the very end. Also, the rooms with attached bathrooms have attractive baths such as terrace-style stone baths and cypress baths.

popomumcz

After breakfast, I enjoyed the open-air bath again until check-out. It feels good in the fresh air in the morning.

Check-out10:00

leave the inn

For casual consideration
Peaceful checkout

I can feel your warm thoughtfulness in the words you receive when you check out. A truly relaxing stay will make you feel soothed that you will want to stay at this inn again.

popomumcz

Along with the receipt when I checked out, a handwriting saying "Please return home carefully" was attached, which made me feel very warm.

Sightseeing10:30

About 30 minutes by car from the inn

feel the mystery of nature
To a place full of Ghibli feeling

"Nomizo Falls and Kameiwa Cave" became a hot topic on social media. Heart-shaped light shines from the cave only during certain seasons and times, and the sight is very mysterious. It is a perfect photo spot.

popomumcz

The forest is pleasant, and the cave looks like something out of Ghibli.
