Did you know that Niigata is the sixth largest crab landing region in Japan, and is known for its delicious crabs? The seas of Niigata are fed by meltwater from the deep mountains. Crabs raised in such rich fishing grounds are characterized by their dense meat and rich sweetness. Niigata is long and narrow, facing the Sea of Japan, and the markets are close by, so you can eat delicious and fresh crabs. Now, the crab that is attracting a lot of attention in Niigata is the "Echigo Genuine Snow Crab." It is a rare brand crab that meets strict criteria, such as being a male over 800g, alive until the time of shipping, with legs that are aligned and have a good color and texture, and is densely packed with meat.
Speaking of winter trips to Niigata, crab dishes such as "Echigohon snow crab" are the main attractions! There are many inns in Niigata where you can enjoy crab-based dishes. Why don't you go on a trip to Niigata to eat crab, the king of winter tastes, which is said to be so delicious that you will be speechless? If you enjoy winter sports and the snowy scenery, eat crabs at the inn and soak in a relaxing onsen, you will definitely feel happyThis ♡ time, we will introduce you to the perfect inn when you are in the mood to "go eat delicious crabs".
"Yumeya no Sato" is quietly located in "Iwamuro onsen", a popular hot onsen resort at the foot of Mount Yahiko, one of Niigata most powerful spots. This small inn with only 11 rooms is surrounded by nature, about 6,690 square meters, where flowers bloom with every season, making it an inn full of an extraordinary feeling. When you enter the lobby, you may find yourself exclaiming, "Wow!" at the view of the garden that catches your eye.
Of the 11 guest rooms, the most special one is the exclusive "Hanareya." You'll have the whole two-story building to yourself. Enjoy gazing at the flowers in the garden with a cup of coffee in the living room with a fireplace, or soak in the half-open-air bath with 100% natural hot spring water without worrying about time. You'll have a luxurious stay that feels like you're at a villa.
Dinner is a multi-course meal filled with carefully selected seafood and mountain produce from Niigata. There are many different courses available, but in crab season, the main course is "Echigo Snow Crab"! You can choose to have it cooked sashimi, grilled crab, boiled crab, or steamed in a bamboo steamer, and what's surprising is that each person can choose their favorite cooking method. The inn's recommendation is steamed in a bamboo steamer, which enhances the sweetness. Which one will you choose?
Not only the large public bath, but also the semi-open-air bath and open-air bath in the guest rooms are filled with 100% fresh hot onsen from our own source! The weak alkaline spring water leaves your skin feeling smooth after bathing. The large open-air bath is made of stone. Admiring the seasonal flowers, listening to the sounds of insects in autumn, and feeling the pleasant breeze will make you want to take a long bath.
