All of the rooms have a Japanese atmosphere with the scent of wood, and the surrounding tranquility will soothe your soul. This is a Japanese-style room with 8 tatami mats. Beppu onsen Kappo Ryokan ryokan is located in a quiet residential area, about a five-minute drive from JR Beppu Station. It is an inn that is full of a serene Japanese atmosphere. The stone-paved approach, where water is sprinkled on the grounds, and the colorful seasonal flowers arranged in the dirt floor are lovely. In 2020, part of the building was renovated under a design by architect Fumihiko Sano, and it has been given a stylish makeover with the addition of a Japanese atmosphere and open shared spaces.

There are seven rooms in total. The Japanese-style rooms, with their sukiya-style architecture, are lovely, but this time we will be introducing the "Special Room - Paulownia Room," which was newly built in 2020. The room has a calm and soothing color scheme that blends traditional Japanese with modernity. Seasonal flowers arranged on two decorative shelves add an accent to the room. The low bed on the raised platform is recommended for those who don't like high beds or who prefer futons, and it looks like a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of travel.
