table of contents
Kagawa is the smallest prefecture in Japan. However, I would like to go out with the whole family, such as ``Konpira Imperial Villa,'' affectionately known as ``Konpira-san,'' ``Ritsurin Park,'' which is designated as a special scenic spot by the country, and ``NEW Reoma World,'' where you can play all day long. The spots are packed full. It is also full of local gourmet foods such as Sanuki udon. On the other hand, because it's narrow, it's less of a burden to move around, and you can sightsee with less footwork, making it perfect for families traveling with children.
When traveling with children, luggage such as diapers and pajamas increases. So, this time, we picked up ryokan in Kagawa that have guest rooms with open-air baths and private baths, as well as hotels that offer a wide range of facilities and services for children. Please use this as a reference when choosing your accommodation.
Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel Reoma no Mori is the official hotel of New Reoma World, one of the largest theme parks in Shikoku. It is just a 3-minute walk from New Reoma World, and the hotel offers a panoramic view of the park. You can easily return to the hotel even if you get tired, so parents and children can enjoy the park to the fullest. Be sure to check out the great deals that include a free pass! From the station, take the free shuttle bus, which takes about 35 minutes from JR Kotohira Station and about 15 minutes from Kotoden Okada Station.
There are various types of guest rooms available, including standard Japanese-style rooms and Western-style rooms with triple beds. The one we recommend for family trips is the Superior Lakeside Cottage. This spacious Japanese-style room in the cottage also has a kids' space equipped with picture books and toys. It is also equipped with a child's toilet seat, children's slippers, and a step stool. The water server provided not only dispenses cold water, but also 70°C hot water, which is useful for making baby formula.
After having fun at "New Reoma World," refresh yourself in onsen and indoor heated pool. In the open-air natural hot onsen, you can enjoy five baths, including the "large open-air bath" (photo), where you can enjoy forest bathing and bird watching while bathing, as well as a jacuzzi with an indoor pool. There is also a small open-air bath with lukewarm water of 38-40°C, so it is easy for small children to use! There are baby beds in the changing rooms and baby baths in the bath area, so it is safe to bring babies with you.
For dinner and breakfast, we offer a "creative buffet" where you can choose and eat only what you like. We offer a wide variety of Japanese, Western and local dishes, including freshly fried tempura, fresh seafood and salads made with freshly picked vegetables, all made with seasonal ingredients from all over Shikoku. We also have a wide selection of popular children's dishes. We also provide baby food, and you can bring your own. Children's tableware is also available for rental.
