Experience

A relaxing and luxurious trip with my parents.
2 days and 1 night to relax on Awaji Island

We will introduce the course when a woman who enjoyed a trip to Awaji Island with her parents actually stayed at the "Villa Rakuen" building of "Hotel New Awaji".

First day

Start12:00

About 120 minutes by car from Osaka Station to the inn

Leisurely with parent and child
To Sumoto onsen on Awaji Island

It takes about 120 minutes by car or highway bus from Osaka Station to Sumoto onsen on Awaji Island where the hotel is located. Enjoy the scenery of the Seto Inland Sea and head for it leisurely. At Sumoto onsen which spreads out to the southeast of the island, you can overlook the magnificent Kitan Strait and feel a sense of openness.

Stayed November 2021

Since I was traveling with my elderly parents and was worried about using public transportation, I used a "special contract taxi" operated by the hotel from Osaka Station. It was a good deal for the fixed price.

Check-in14:00

Arrive at the inn

in a classy lounge
Take a break in front of the sea

Atmosphere that lobby lounge is refined. The ocean spreads outside the window, and the mood rises. The hotel has two guest rooms, and if you stay in the "Villa Paradise" building, you can check in from 14:00. You can spend plenty of elegant time.

Check in around 14:00. After relaxing on the sofa, I was served tea and sweets in my room.

Room14:30

"Villa Paradise"
Feel luxurious in your room

All the rooms in the "Villa Rakuen" building are suites with open-air baths. There is a living room and a private terrace in a space of about 80 to 182 square meters, where you can spend a relaxing time with your family. The "Umi no Niwa" type room also has a courtyard, making it even more luxurious.

chiaki_favs

Stayed at "Villa Rakuen Sea Garden No. 105". There were few steps, so I was able to spend time with my parents with peace of mind. There are flowers in the garden facing the sea. I was able to monopolize the superb view on the bench.

Onsen15:00

In the guest room open-air bath
relax to your heart's content

As soon as you unpack your luggage, take a onsen bath. Guest rooms in the "Villa Rakuen" building have an open onsen spring bath and a shower booth, so you can enjoy your bath time as you please. It is also nice to have a full range of amenities such as yukata, bathrobes, and basic cosmetics.

chiaki_favs

Spend a luxurious time looking at the sea and the sunset from the rock open-air bath in your room. There was a large sofa next to the bath, which was perfect for relaxing after bathing.

Lounge16:00

at the sky lounge
enjoy a drink and a book

After relaxing in onsen, let's go to the sky lounge "Tenjo Sajiki", which is exclusively for guests staying at "Villa Rakuen". You can enjoy free drinks and massage chairs in front of the superb view from the top floor.

chiaki_favs

The sky lounge was empty, probably because the number of available rooms is limited. I enjoyed reading and massage chairs while having tea and sweets.

Dinner17:30

Kaiseki cuisine of local production for local consumption
in a private space

Dinner is a special kaiseki meal only available at "Villa Rakuen", which uses plenty of Awaji Island ingredients. There are also courses featuring Awaji beef and three-year Awaji Island tiger blowfish. Enjoy a leisurely feast at the dining table in your room or in a separate private room.

chiaki_favs

It was a full course of matsutake mushrooms and Awaji beef shabu-shabu and steak. Because it is Awaji Island, sashimi is also the best. The leftover sea bream rice was made into a rice ball for a late-night snack.

Onsen20:00

To three various hot springs
Feel free to visit hot springs

There are three unique hot springs in the hotel, and you can fully enjoy the hot springs during your stay. The large public baths "Awaji Tanada no Yu" and "Kuni Umi no Yu" are equipped with two types of source baths, as well as saunas and cold water baths. Enveloped in the sound of the sea, relax your body.

chiaki_favs

There are various baths such as open-air baths by the seaside and jacuzzis, and it was like an attraction, so it was a lot of fun. Toiletries were also provided.

the 2nd day

Breakfast07:00

Choose between Japanese and Western
breakfast in your room

Breakfast can be delivered to your room, which is very convenient. Japanese dishes include yudofu (boiled tofu), dashimaki tamago, and Awajishima onion salad. You can choose from several types of Western dishes, such as egg dishes and steamed vegetables, so you can enjoy your own taste.

chiaki_favs

Choose a Japanese set meal. Grilled fish, steamed egg custard, small pot, it was a great volume. Because it is Awaji Island, the simple onion salad was really delicious.

chiaki_favs

The check-out time was 11:00 as a privilege of staying in the "Villa Paradise" building. Relaxed with late check out.
