Hatsuhana Main Store is about a 5-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. The buckwheat noodles made with only carefully selected buckwheat flour, local eggs, and natural farming wild yam go down smoothly and have a rich flavor. Let's taste while watching the nature of Hakone.

Arrive at the inn
Surrounded by Japanese taste
check in
About a 3-minute walk from Gora Station, Hakone Gora Karaku is surrounded by the natural beauty of Hakone. Check-in is in the impressive lobby with a brick wall that expresses the flow of "Hayakawa" and dignified natural wood.
I received a tea cake at check-in.
Room15:15
Hakone's nature on one side of the window
high quality spacious guest room
Guest rooms are divided into the east wing, which overlooks the mountains and Sagami Bay, and the west wing, which overlooks the refreshing greenery. The moment you take off your shoes and go upstairs, your mind goes into relaxation mode. Let's stretch our wings in a spacious space of about 56 square meters.
Stayed in room 606 on the top floor of the west wing. There is also a space with tatami mats, so I was able to relax. I was also happy with the amenities and the latest home appliances.
Lounge15:30
In the guest lounge
Relax in total luxury
"Awai" is a lounge exclusively for hotel guests. You can relax in your favorite space such as sofa seats and terrace seats. Between 14:00 and 19:00, you can enjoy about 20 kinds of menus such as alcohol and mini sweets for free.
I was impressed by the hospitality of the staff, such as helping me with another drink and lending me a blanket when I was on the terrace.
Onsen16:30
become one with nature
Guest room onsen hot spring bath
All guest rooms have onsen open-air baths. You can enjoy onsen while overlooking the nature of Hakone with nothing to block it. Relax and enjoy the view of the Hakone sunset and majestic mountains.
Dinner17:30
in two dining
Seasonal ingredients to your heart's content
There are two types of dinner using seasonal ingredients. At the kaiseki-based Japanese restaurant Mutsuki, you can choose 2 main dishes from 6 types of fish and meat. At Juyu, you can lavishly enjoy carefully selected meat and seafood grilled on an iron plate.
Select the pairing course at "Rokutsuki". It looked delicious as well as tasted great. The person in charge of pairing was also a good person and meal felt more delicious.
Night21:00
In the open-air bath with a superb view
healed from the core
Relax in onsen after dinner. There are two types of open-air baths in the large public bath, the "Myojo" that looks at Mt. The beautiful nature and mellow onsen will unwind your mind and body.
the 2nd day
Breakfast07:00
Choose Japanese or Western
A hearty breakfast
Breakfast at "Mutsuki" is a Japanese meal with plump rice cooked in an iron pot and side dishes made from carefully selected ingredients. At Juyu, you can enjoy a Western-style breakfast where you can directly feel the original taste of ingredients such as fresh vegetables and eggs.
I had a Japanese breakfast. The volume was plentiful, and there was also a take-out service for the chopsticks used.
Morning08:00
on two open terraces
a refreshing walk
Take a leisurely stroll on the two terraces. On the “Water Terrace” where you can enjoy the soothing sound of water and the glittering surface of the water, and on the benches overlooking the swaying bamboo grove and the mountains, you can relax on the “Forest Terrace”. You can spend time to be cleansed.
After taking a walk on the two terraces, I enjoyed drinking in the lounge from the morning.
Freetime09:00
Blissful onsen
Fully enjoy until the end
Enjoy onsen until the end in your room or in the public bath. There are 3 types of luxurious private baths, cypress, rock, and silk, from which you can view the garden and nature. If you want to relax in private, please make a reservation.

Enjoy the luxurious space
check out
Enjoy a luxurious space where you can forget about everyday life, such as onsen in the guest room and a lounge. Before checking out, stop by the shop where you can find beautiful parquetry, pottery, tea, sweets, and more.
When I checked out, I received a pickled plum as a souvenir.
Sightseeing12:00

At the Hakone Open-Air Museum
touch many arts
At the Hakone Open-Air Museum, you can enjoy numerous sculptures in the midst of nature. At the "Picasso Pavilion" where 319 works are exhibited, you will be moved by Picasso's wide range of art, including paintings, ceramics, and sculptures.

Stayed in April 2021
I ate grated yam soba, but it was chewy and delicious. After lunch, I boarded the Hakone Tozan Train and headed leisurely to Gora Station, which is the closest station to my inn.
