Experience
Enjoy onsen in the big city!
Stayed as a couple for 2 days and 1 night
Apri_cot._, who visited as a couple, will introduce how to actually spend the night at onsen ryokan Yuen Shinjuku.
First day
Start12:00
About 10 minutes on foot to the inn
urban oasis
To "Shinjuku Gyoen"
"Shinjuku Gyoen" is near the inn. The green lawn spreads out and the feeling of openness is outstanding. There is no shortage of things to see, such as beautiful rose beds and a large greenhouse where you can meet rare plants.
Lunch13:00
About 3 minutes on foot to the inn
At "Genkai Shokudo"
Very satisfying oyakodon lunch
Lunch is at the long-established store "Genkai Shokudo". There are many fans of mizutaki and oyakodon, and it is a popular restaurant that you should visit at least once. You can spend a relaxing time in a Japanese-style atmosphere.
I ate oyakodon from "Genkai Shokudo" for lunch! Both the food and the customer service were excellent, and it felt like I was in a long-established ryokan.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
Indigo goodwill
Cobblestone invites you to extraordinary
The dignified appearance and modern beauty of a onsen inn. The coexistence of these two exteriors is very appealing. Make a reservation for breakfast when you check in.
Passing through the noren at the entrance, there is an entrance where you can feel the atmosphere such as stone pavement and a washbasin, and I felt an extraordinary feeling.
Recommendations from facility staff
Manager Masato Seki
Based on the concept of "editing ryokan", you can enjoy a onsen ryokan at the price of a business hotel. In the lobby, the scent of incense and fresh flowers that change with the seasons welcome you.
Room16:00
Make your stay comfortable
simple guest room
The slightly raised room has a relaxing, simple and modern atmosphere. There are a variety of room types such as suites, twins and semi-doubles.
It was a double room on the high floor. It was so beautiful that the way the sunlight entered changed depending on the time of day!
Onsen17:00
Full of exhilaration!
To the open-air bath on the top floor
If you look at the scenery while soaking in the natural onsen open-air bath, the sense of freedom will be at its peak! At night, you can enjoy the sparkling night view. After 15:00, there is also a free popsicle service after taking a bath.
I took an open-air bath early in the morning before dinner. There were few people, and I was able to enjoy the scenery of Shinjuku at dusk. The ice candy after the bath was also the best!
Recommendations from facility staff
Manager Masato Seki
On the 18th floor, the top floor, there is a large public bath with an open-air bath that carries onsen from Hakone. Bathing while gazing at the night view of the city center is an experience that can only be experienced at this hotel.
Dinner18:00
In "summer lower winter upper"
Dinner in style
Why not make a reservation for dinner at the restaurant "Natsuka Tojo" overlooking the small garden? The interior has a very chic atmosphere. The menu includes teppanyaki, tempura, and other dishes that will leave you completely satisfied. The restaurant also offers a selection of carefully selected wines and sake from all over Japan.
Since our purpose was to relax in our room, we ordered Korean food from Uber eats for dinner.
Night21:00
relax in your room
time for just the two of us
After dinner, relax in your room while drinking tea. Enjoy the time you spend alone. Don't forget to capture the night view of the big city outside the window with your camera.
We had delicious Japanese sweets and tea provided in the room. The tatami mats made it easier to relax.
the 2nd day
Onsen06:00
in the morning bath
start the day well
The recommended style at ryokan is to wake up a little early and enjoy the morning bath. The public bath is open from 6:00 to 10:00 in the morning. The open-air bath is a simple alkaline onsen that is said to be effective in relieving fatigue.
I also took an open-air bath in the morning. There were a lot of people, but there is also an indoor bath so you can relax!
Breakfast08:00
Nutritious
Have a Japanese breakfast
Let's have a gorgeous two-tiered box at the restaurant. Finish off with a refreshing bowl of ochazuke ♪ A healthy Japanese breakfast and drink bar will get you up and running in the morning.
Recommendations from facility staff
Manager Masato Seki
For our popular breakfast, we have prepared an appetizing and healthy menu with side dishes packed in a multi-tiered box, mainly grilled fish of the day, and ochazuke to finish.
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
A space full of Japanese atmosphere
Enjoy until the end
Enjoy the atmospheric atmosphere of the grounds until the last minute of checkout. Thanks to being refreshed by onsen and gourmet food, my steps may be lighter than usual♪
Lunch13:00
About 10 minutes on foot from the inn
At the famous store "curry Kusamakura"
curry lunch
Stroll around Shinjuku. Let's throw in spicy curry when you're tired of walking! The popular curry Kusamakura offers a wide variety of curries, including eggplant chicken curry.
Go to Tabelog 100 famous store “curry Kusamakura”. I ate spicy curry at a reasonable price! After that, I stopped by "IKEA Shinjuku store".
Return trip18:00
At a onsen ryokan in Tokyo
Wrapped in an extraordinary feeling ♡
A two-day, one-night trip with an important partner. At ryokan Yuen Shinjuku, where you can enjoy natural onsen, delicious meal, and onsen style guest rooms, you will have a special time unlike any other.
Wearing a yukata and tabi with a calm design and heading to the large communal bath with an open-air bath, it was unique to a onsen ryokan, and I was excited!
