At the Hiroshi Senju Museum

At the "Karuizawa Hiroshi Senju Museum", about 40 works from the early days to the latest works of the world-famous Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju are on display. The architecture, which takes advantage of the natural slope and lets in plenty of light, is also wonderful. You can enjoy art appreciation as if you were taking a walk in the forest.
A lot of beautiful works in a very stylish hall. I was able to come up with a story for the work "On a starry night", and even I, who was new to art museums, enjoyed it.

To "Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort" which spreads over a site of about 70,000 tsubo. The main building looks like a European aristocratic mansion, and each piece of furnishings, such as the stately sofas and chandeliers, is wonderful. You can check in in style.
I was impressed by the excellent service provided by the staff. When we prepared a surprise gift for our anniversary, they kindly cooperated with us.

The site is divided into 5 areas, and you can enjoy different views such as the lake and the garden. The "Suite Terrace" in the "Yamanoue Area" is one of the best scenic spots in the hotel. You can enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Asama.
After check-in, the staff took me to a place with a nice view in a cart. The lemonade served while watching nature was fresh and the best!

The 58 guest rooms are divided into three types: independent villas, suites surrounded by forest, and the classical main building. The guest rooms in the main building have a luxurious interior and are well equipped with Apple TV, Bluetooth speakers, and other equipment.
The room was very clean and I was fascinated by the luxurious atmosphere. There was a wine glass, and I was able to enjoy Karuizawa's sake while relaxing.

On the 2nd floor of the main building, there is a large public bath "KOMOREBI", and at the end of the promenade is a day-trip onsen facility "Happu onsen", both of which can be enjoyed by guests free of charge. Soothe your tiredness in a bicarbonate spring known as one of the three most beautiful hot springs.

There are 3 restaurants in the hotel. At the dining room "Vaas" in the main building, you can enjoy classical French cuisine by chef Osamu Sakurai, who has experience in the real French cuisine. Enjoy a dinner full of Shinshu ingredients while gazing at the courtyard.
We had an authentic French full course by a Michelin 1-star chef. In particular, the beef fillet poiret was exquisite!

Various seasonal events are held on the hotel premises, such as firefly viewing from July to August, candle nights at Morioto no Kyokai in December, and stargazing on the terrace from January to March. How about taking a walk after dinner and participating?
Participate in a firefly viewing event. I was impressed by the light of many fireflies. There were various events at the hotel, but the staff's explanation was very polite one by one.

The main building has a gym equipped with treadmills, etc., which can be used free of charge from 7:00 am. The public bath is open from 6:00 am. In addition to onsen bath, there is also a far-infrared sauna and cold water bath, so you can refresh yourself by washing off your sweat from the morning.
