Spend time in a good old historical ryokan
Shuzenji, 1 night 2 days accommodation record
A woman who visited Shuzenji with her friends will introduce how she spent her time when she actually stayed at "Ochiairo".
First day
Lunch12:00
About 3 minutes by car from the inn
Soba noodles and river fish
Enjoy a greedy lunch
At Amago Chaya, you can eat amago, a river fish that belongs to the salmon family. Other popular dishes include set meals that use freshly picked wasabi and handmade tempura soba. Why not stop by on your drive?
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
Plenty of atmosphere from the entrance
Go through the noren to the inn
Standing on the banks of two rivers, it is a place where you can enjoy the majestic mountains and the murmuring of a mountain stream. The tatami-matted interior is so nostalgic that it makes you want to say "I'm home."
Room15:30
14 rooms with different tastes
Let's love cultural assets
The guest room is like a trip to the early Showa period, with kumiko shoji screens handmade by craftsmen, floor pillars painted with black lacquer, and black persimmon floor frames. You will also be healed by the murmuring of the Kano River and the greenery of the mountains.
Stayed at "Aofuji" where you can see the river from the large bedroom and window. I was always soothed by the sound of the river, surrounded by trees and mysterious. I felt like I was in a power spot.
Onsen16:00
sauna and onsen
Relax your body from the core
In addition to three types of onsen baths: cave, open-air, and indoor baths, there is also a sauna. The sulfate spring unique to Amagi Yugashima onsen can be expected to have a moisturizing effect, and is said to be “hot water for beautiful skin.”
I changed into a yukata and relaxed in onsen and tea room sauna. Since it was all-inclusive, we had milk and FUJI mineral water after the bath.
Dinner18:30
gorgeous to the eye
Kaiseki cuisine to taste Izu
The kaiseki cuisine, which is mainly made with locally sourced seasonal ingredients, is served on gorgeous tableware and is delicious to the eye. It is also attractive that you can feel the four seasons with meal, including sashimi of local fish caught in the morning.
The food is neat and clean. Seasonal items and tableware were also beautiful, and the number of items was abundant.
Lounge20:00
drink as much as you want
Start of adult time
Since it is all-inclusive, you can drink all-you-can-drink soft drinks, including alcoholic beverages such as beer and local sake. Relax in the lounge while listening to the murmuring of the river.
I enjoyed drinking in the lounge, took an open-air bath in the large public bath, and slept on a fluffy futon.
the 2nd day
Morning07:00
While bathing in the sunlight filtering through the trees
morning onsen time
The large public bath “Tsuki no Yu” is made of Japanese cypress. The dressing room is spacious and has a dressing table, so you can relax while getting dressed.
In the morning, the baths were switched between men and women. An open-air bath bathed in the morning sun. It felt different from the powerful river sound last night.
Breakfast08:00
Blessings of Shizuoka
Enjoy breakfast
For breakfast, there are local fish caught in Suruga Bay, juices and soups made with safe vegetables from local farmers, boiled eggs, and other side dishes that are good for the body. Enjoy delicious food with freshly cooked rice.
Breakfast was Japanese, with freshly cooked rice and seasonal fish. I can't forget the "wasabi rice" that I ate with wasabi on top!
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
Until checkout
Enjoy the interior
Many great writers have visited Izu and left behind their masterpieces. You can read books in the "reading room" and "study" in the building, and enjoy the garden from the corridor. Relax and enjoy cultural assets.
It was raining on the day we checked out, so they escorted us to the car so that we wouldn't get wet. I will always remember your quick response and kind consideration.
Sightseeing12:00
About 30 minutes by car from the inn
Sightseeing around Izu
Leisurely drive
“Mentai Park” is a free facility where you can tour the mentaiko factory and purchase raw mentaiko. How about a hearty rice ball with plenty of mentaiko and processed products such as sweets as souvenirs?
Shopping15:00
About 30 minutes by car from the inn
A collection of local ingredients
shopping at roadside station
"Izu Gateway Kannami" is a roadside station with meal, a cafe, and a product shop. Every morning, we receive vegetables and fruits produced in Kannami Town. You can also take a break with soft-serve ice cream delivered directly from the ranch.
I bought fresh local vegetables at Izu Mentai Park and Roadside Station "Izu Gateway Kannami".
Return trip17:00
away from everyday life
Relax at a historical ryokan in Izu
By putting yourself in a place different from your daily life, you can feel refreshed and the food tastes even better. When you get tired, how about staying at a cultural property inn and taking a trip to the past?

From the moment I entered the building, it was a mysterious space, and it was my first experience ryokan where I could enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for the reception.
