Experience
Hakone trip with children
Two days to touch nature and have plenty of fun
A user who traveled to Hakone with his wife and daughter who is 1 year and 10 months old actually stayed at "Hakone onsen Hotel Nanpuso".
First day
Start11:30
About 20 minutes by car from the inn
Travel to Hakone with your own car!
First to Lake Ashinoko
The good thing about traveling by car is that you can leisurely go sightseeing at your own pace. First, head to Lake Ashinoko and be soothed by the mystical scenery at Hakone Shrine.
Lunch13:00
About 18 minutes by car from the inn
While looking at Lake Ashinoko
Enjoy authentic Italian cuisine
Lunch at the fashionable pizzeria "La Terrazza Ashinoko" on the shore of Lake Ashi. Let's enjoy chewy pizza while looking at the open scenery.
Check-in16:50
Arrive at the inn
Surrounded by the nature of Hakone
Check in at ryokan
Arrive at Hotel Nanpuso, which stands by the Sukumo River. A quiet ryokan surrounded by lush greenery, where you can forget about the hustle and bustle and refresh yourself.
The customer service was good and the corona measures were well taken, so I was able to spend my time with peace of mind.
Room17:00
In a modern Japanese room
A relaxing moment
The rooms at Kaze no Iori have a modern Japanese atmosphere. There are Japanese-style rooms where you can relax and Japanese-Western style rooms with beds, and they are spacious enough. You can spend a relaxing time with your family of three.
Stayed at Kaze-an Open-air bath Japanese-Western style room A type. The overall impression is that it is clean. I was also happy that they prepared extra pillows for me as I was pregnant.
Onsen17:15
In the guest room open-air bath
heal your fatigue
The guest rooms at Kaze no Iori have an onsen spring bath. The bathtub is large enough to soak in and there is also a washing space, so you can enjoy your bath time leisurely.
Amenities and children's shampoo were also provided, which was helpful ♩ The dressing room is warm with floor heating. It seems that my husband was so comfortable that he fell asleep there.
Dinner18:00
Enjoy in-in-room dining
Colorful Japanese food
After enjoying the open-air bath in your room, you can enjoy dinner in your room. There is no need to move around and you can enjoy a feast with your family. Take your time to savor the Japanese cuisine made with plenty of local ingredients. If you are interested in in-room dining plan, please check the official website.
The contents have been changed so that it can be eaten even during pregnancy. A lot of fish dishes were delicious! Children's chairs, tableware, and sprinkles were also helpful.
Night20:00
Stroll around the hall
After your meal, how about enjoying a stroll around the hotel? Browse souvenirs at the shop, enjoy the sense of openness on the observation deck, and enjoy beauty treatments. You will have a fulfilling time.
We spent the night relaxing in our room. There are two TVs, one on the bed side and the other on the table side, and I watched TV while lying in bed until I fell asleep.
the 2nd day
Morning07:00
carefree
Enjoy the morning bath
Get up a little early and enjoy the morning bath. The large public bath is a space that uses plenty of granite and blue stone, and you can enjoy a onsen bath in a large bathtub. If you listen carefully, you can hear the murmuring of the Sukumo River and it will heal you.
I didn't use the large public bath this time, and enjoyed the morning bath in my room. There was a small window in the bath, so I could see my daughter sleeping, so I took it easy.
Breakfast08:00
An exciting buffet
Very satisfying breakfast
For breakfast, try the Japanese and Western buffet at meal area. With a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes and sweets, you might have a hard time deciding what to eat. You can enjoy a variety of flavors and start your morning off feeling happy.
I had a Japanese meal. The morning was also full of volume, and the 9 kinds of small bowls were all delicious!
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
Until checkout
Relax in your room
Check-out is at 11:00, so you have plenty of time after breakfast. Enjoy the view of the mountains from the veranda, soak in onsen again, and sleep twice. Take it easy.

At the Hakone Open-Air Museum
Enjoy hands-on art!
The Hakone Open-Air Museum offers a wide variety of outdoor exhibitions. There is also a hands-on art where you can go inside and play, so children can have fun too.
There was an outdoor exhibition and a children's playground, so both parents and children could enjoy it.
Sightseeing14:00
About 10 minutes by car from the inn
"Suzuhiro Kamaboko Village"
Enjoy gourmet food at
A theme park where you can enjoy Odawara's famous kamaboko. There is a market, a museum, and hands-on classes where you can enjoy making kamaboko with your family. The unique kamaboko that you can buy at the market is perfect as a souvenir.
The area around Hakone Station was crowded, so I went to "Suzuhiro Kamaboko Village" near Odawara IC. We bought souvenirs and ate delicious soba noodles at Soba Mizo, across the street!

Stayed December 2020
Before going to the inn, I went sightseeing around Lake Ashi. I was happy that I was able to take a family photo at the classic Hakone Shrine torii.
