Experience

A trip to rest in onsen between work
Hakone Yumoto, 2 days and 1 night stay

A woman who visited Hakone for work will introduce a travel diary when she actually stayed at "Hakone onsen Yumoto Fujiya Hotel" along with her impressions.

First day

Start11:00

About 90 minutes from Shinjuku Station to the inn by Romancecar

Romancecar from Shinjuku
Leisurely train journey

It takes about an hour and a half by "Romancecar" from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station. After eating a lunch box and looking at the scenery from the train window, you will arrive in no time.

Stayed in June 2021

I took the Romancecar from Shinjuku and walked from the station, so I went to the hotel while enjoying the scenery.

The Hakone-Yumoto station shopping street is lined with long-established manju shops, restaurants, and kamaboko shops. Before heading to your hotel, take a stroll around the area to purchase Hakone's specialties and enjoy the atmosphere of onsen town.

Check-in after crossing the “Hydrangea Bridge” with its impressive red railing. Surrounded by rivers and greenery, you will be healed just by walking.

Room15:15

Alone or in a group
Relax in a variety of guest rooms

Japanese-style room, twin bed room, suite room. There are a variety of guest rooms that can be used for various occasions, such as staying alone or staying with family. A suite room with a view of the forest from a large window is recommended for special occasions.

Onsen15:30

Relax your mind and body in onsen
Large public bath and open-air bath

After checking in, go straight to the open-air bath. Relax your body and mind in the large public baths and open-air baths where you can stretch out your arms and legs. The low-temperature thoron sauna with a temperature of about 50 degrees puts little strain on your body and leaves you feeling refreshed.

I staggered the time and went to soak in the open-air bath early. I was able to spend comfortably because there was no one.

Relax17:00

Stroll around the hall
relax

After taking a bath, take a walk around the hotel. It would be nice to take a walk around the hotel or check out the souvenir shops. The community space is equipped with facilities such as a microwave oven and a printer.

Dinner18:30

Fujiya Hotel
Cuisine that inherits tradition

There are also plenty of restaurants such as Japanese, Western, Chinese, French cuisine, izakaya, and meal kaiseki. You can enjoy traditional cuisine worthy of the name of the long-established hotel "Fujiya Hotel".

Breakfast08:00

Japanese or Western
your favorite breakfast

Western food is served at Wisteria, and Japanese breakfast is served at Himesara or Akafuji. Both are offered as set menus. You can be satisfied with the careful preparation of hotel maids.

yuru_tabi_

Breakfast is fruit yogurt, vegetable salad, and Chinese porridge. Next time I would like to enjoy breads such as croissants and noodles. By the way, the Chinese rice porridge was excellent!

Check out after a refreshing stay. Let's head to the station square shopping street while being healed by the murmuring of the river.

Cafe10:30

About 3 minutes on foot from the inn

at Hakone Cafe
Purchase a ride companion

We also recommend buying drinks and bread at the Hakone Cafe inside the station before boarding the Romancecar. This bakery is operated by Odakyu Hotel and offers everything from side dishes to sweets.

yuru_tabi_

Takeout curry bread at "Hakone Cafe" in the station premises to eat on the train. There were few people on the Romancecar on the way back, so I was able to avoid crowds.
