Arima onsen is located in the mountains on the north side of Mt. Rokko. Said to be the oldest onsen in Japan, it is known for its two famous hot springs, “Kinsen” and “Ginsen”. onsen town is lined with gourmet foods and souvenir shops, so you can enjoy walking around the town.

Arima Grand Hotel stands on a hill overlooking Arima's onsen town. When you step into the lobby lounge, you are greeted by a spacious space illuminated by a sparkling chandelier. Mothers and daughters will be impressed by the luxurious atmosphere!
Check-in at 15:00. You will be fascinated by the well-maintained garden that can be seen from the large lobby. I took a walk with my daughter and took lots of pictures.

There are many types of guest rooms, including Japanese-style rooms, onsen style rooms, rooms with open-air hot spring baths, and Bessho Yura, which is perfect for special occasions. All rooms are furnished with a calm modern interior, so you can relax comfortably.
I stayed in a beautiful Japanese-Western style room with a modern Japanese atmosphere. Amenity was substantial, too.

There are various activities in the hotel. The summer-only garden pool is the largest in Arima. There is also a slider, which is sure to make your child smile! You can also enjoy table tennis and simulation golf.
The pool of "Arima Grand Hotel" is surprisingly wide among hotel pools. I played a lot with my daughter.

For dinner, you can choose from a Japanese dining room with skewers, a Chinese buffet, or in-in-room dining. "Custom kaiseki", where you can create an original course from over 100 menu items, is also popular. In the summer, there is also a plan where you can BBQ empty-handed in the garden.
I chose the BBQ plan. The location of "Hoshi no Furu Oka" is the best, and the food and hors d'oeuvres are also fulfilling. Kobe beef and seafood were also very delicious.

A moment of healing in onsen
There are two baths in the hotel, the large public bath "Unkai" and the large public bath "Yurari". Relax in the open-air bath overlooking the mountains of Niwa, and wash away your sweat in the sauna. There are also 5 private baths, so mothers and daughters can spend their time without bathing.
Enjoy a private bath at night. Soaking in Arima's mellow "Ginsen" with my daughter was too pleasant.

Breakfast is a luxurious buffet with more than 100 kinds. There are a variety of menus such as egg dishes and sukiyaki cooked in a live kitchen, Himeji oden, and Koshihikari rice from Tanba. I can't decide which one to eat ♪
I got a buffet. There were many kinds, and there was a menu unique to the area such as Akashi's takoyaki, which was delicious.

I'm glad that my daughter was very happy that the food, onsen and pool were great and she wanted to go again. I definitely want to use it again.

I headed to the inn while driving in my car from Nishinomiya. The weather was good, and the scenery of Mt. Rokko and the scenery of the city of Kobe were very beautiful.
