Experience
Relax with your family at Arima onsen
Enjoying the bath in the guest room: A two-day stay
We present a travelogue written by a woman who enjoyed a family trip to Arima onsen with her children and stayed at Miyukiso Hanamusubi.
First day
Start13:00
About 30 minutes by car from Kobe Station to the inn
Arrived at Arima onsen
Stroll through onsen town
Arima onsen is located about 30 minutes by car from Kobe Station. It is one of the three most famous hot springs in Japan, and you can enjoy not only onsen but also walking around the town. It is about a 10-minute walk from the center of onsen town to the inn. On the way to the inn, you can splash around in the water at "Arima River Waterfront Park" and enjoy some food on your way to the inn.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
Seasonal flowers welcome you
Arriving at the healing inn
We arrive at Miyukiso Hanamusubi which has a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. Check in while feeling relaxed in the building decorated with seasonal flowers. It's also nice to take a break in Lounge Hatsuhana, which overlooks the historic Japanese garden.
When I checked in, the lady came out and treated me very well.
Room15:15
Various choices!
Relaxing room
The rooms are relaxing and Japanese-style, with 30 rooms in total, 11 types. All rooms are named after flowers. There are plenty of options, including rooms with indoor and outdoor hot onsen baths, Japanese-style rooms that can accommodate up to 6 people, and Japanese-Western rooms where even those who prefer beds can relax comfortably. Relax in the room of your choice.
The three of us stayed in a room with an open-air bath. At 95 square meters, it was spacious enough for the kids to move around.
Onsen16:30
In a private bath or room
Enjoy onsen
If you stay in a room with onsen, you can enjoy the Kinsen spring as much as you like in the open-air bath or indoor bath. Take a leisurely bath in the reddish brown water. Kinsen spring water is also drawn into the private bath "Hanagokoro" (fees apply). The washing area and changing room are spacious, so you can feel as comfortable as at home.
The room we stayed in was great, with an open-air bath that was open 24 hours a day. The three of us in the family enjoyed the bath and relaxed until dinner.
Dinner18:00
in in-room dining
Enjoy the feast
Dinner is in-room dining, so you can enjoy your meal at your leisure without worrying about others around you. The menu is a multi-course meal using seasonal ingredients. Sashimi, hotpot, meat, and more are on the menu. There is also a children's menu with a flower basket and high chairs available, so it is safe for families with children.
Dinner was a dinner party in the room! Everything was delicious and the rice was free to refill. I was able to eat enough to fill me up.
Night21:00
choose your favorite pillow
go to bed slowly
If you find it difficult to fall asleep when you change pillows, check out the "Pillow Choices" corner on the first floor. You can choose your favorite pillow from several types, such as feather and memory foam. Children's bedding can be rented, so if you need it, please check when making a reservation.
the 2nd day
Morning06:30
Enjoy Kinsen and Ginsen
Refresh in the public bath
The observation bath is on a gender-separated basis and is open until midnight and from 6am. You can enjoy two types of natural onsen in the spacious indoor and outdoor baths. Baby beds and chairs are also available, so you can bathe with your children.
It was great to soak in the open-air bath in the morning.
Breakfast07:30
meal or in-room dining
A piping hot Japanese breakfast
Breakfast is a Japanese set meal with miso soup and grilled fish. There are a variety of side dishes, and you will want to refill the freshly cooked rice. Breakfast is served at the meal "Flower Walk" with table seats and completely private seats, or breakfast is also in-room dining ♪ depending on the room
Check-out10:00
leave the inn
buy a souvenir
Start sightseeing!
At the Hananobe shop on the 1st floor, you can find Arima's traditional handicrafts, the specialty of Arima, Tantan Senbei, as well as original ryokan goods. Buy a souvenir to commemorate your stay and start sightseeing on the second day.
Sightseeing10:10
It takes about 5 minutes by car from the inn to Arima Masuike Pond.
To nearby spots
Experience fishing at Arima Masu Pond
After checking out, we went sightseeing in the area. The Arima Trout Pond is a pond that uses clear water and where you can enjoy fishing for rainbow trout and feeding them. It's the perfect spot for children to start fishing. At the adjacent Trout Teahouse, you can enjoy dishes made with the fish you caught.
Return trip14:00
Thoroughly relaxing
Two days of enjoying famous hot springs
A two-day trip to Arima onsen where the whole family can relax. Miyukiso Hanamusubi has many attractions for a relaxing stay, including rooms with open-air hot onsen baths, private baths, and in-in-room dining. Enjoy the famous Kinsen and Ginsen hot springs in the large public bath and fully enjoy Arima onsen.
We were able to relax and it was an inn that I would like to come back to with my family.
