Experience

spend time in a glass castle
Two days to be healed by the sea and art

We will introduce the course when a woman who went to Atami with her husband actually stayed in the room "Seiha" of "ATAMI Kaifuro".

First day

Start11:00

Feeling the sea breeze
Leisurely drive

Drive to Atami while looking at the sea. There are plenty of spots along the coast where you can casually stop by, such as cafes with superb views overlooking the ocean and restaurants that serve fresh fish. First, have lunch at your favorite restaurant.

Stayed December 2019

I thought I'd eat fish at the inn, so I had soba noodles for lunch. I ate tempura soba and fried eggs at the soba restaurant "Taga". The amount of soba noodles is small, so we recommend ordering two servings.

Check-in15:00

Arrive at the inn

stairs to glass floor
my heart is already rising

Go through the glass passage to the lobby. Sit on a comfortable sofa and take a break with a welcome drink. The crystal space in the hall will already make your chest rise.

After checking in, when I climbed the glass stairs to my room, I couldn't stop thinking, "This is the place I've seen before!"

"Water/Glass", which Kengo Kuma worked on in the 1990s, is said to be one of his representative works, and has not faded even in the present age.

Room16:00

the moment when the heart rejoices
Feeling one with the sea

4 rooms with different tastes. The most popular room, "Seiha," is fully glassed, giving you a feeling of openness where you can almost touch the horizon. This room has an open-air jacuzzi and a bath with a view.

rincappu0514

I stayed at Seiba. When you enter the room, Sagami Bay spreads all over, and it is worth coming just for this! I drank orange tea that was in the refrigerator and relaxed ◎

The luxury suites "Seiwa" and "Fushina", the Western-style room "Shozan", and the Japanese-style room "Sowa". You can enjoy a different view and atmosphere from each room.

Onsen17:00

in a private onsen
Unwind

In the large public bath on the 1st floor, you can enjoy Atami onsen to warm your body and mind. It has a sauna and cold water bath, and can be rented out for 50 minutes per group. Available twice a day, morning and night.

rincappu0514

onsen in the large public bath is spacious and has a great sense of openness! There were free drinks in the refrigerator in the dressing room ◎ I was happy that there was a small beer and a bottle of coffee milk.

Dinner19:00

a dreamy moment
meal to enjoy with all five senses

For dinner, you can enjoy seasonal Japanese cuisine that uses plenty of local ingredients. Luxury suite guests are limited to one group per day, and you can have meal on the "water balcony" with a great view.

rincappu0514

There were many dishes that I could enjoy from the appetizer, and the fish was especially delicious. I was grateful that the leftover cooked rice was used as a rice ball for a late-night meal.

Japanese cuisine for dinner is served on a monthly menu, and we also have drinks such as wine and sake that go well with the dishes.

Freetime21:00

private time
the night slowly fades away

Adult night time that you want to spend in luxury. At the bar “Yamashina Chaya” where you can enjoy a superb view of the sea, you can enjoy carefully selected malts, western and Japanese sake. If the season overlaps, you can also see fireworks from here.

My husband had an evening drink, and I read and relaxed in my room.

the 2nd day

Morning06:30

A heart-wrenching spectacle
Morning “Magic Hour”

In the morning, be wrapped in a fantastic sunrise that can be seen from the "Water Balcony". This balcony can be used freely by all guests except for meal times for the luxury suite guests.

rincappu0514

The water balcony was illuminated by the orange color of the morning glow and was very beautiful. I was so happy when I was watching the sky getting brighter and brighter ^^

Freetime07:00

spend as you please
slow morning time

After watching the sunrise, you can just stare at the ocean view from your room, or bring your favorite book and relax on the water balcony. Spend a luxurious time.

rincappu0514

After soaking in the jacuzzi while watching the sunrise, it was cold outside, so I took a leisurely dip into the indoor bath. I could see the sea from everywhere and it was very refreshing.

Breakfast08:00

while basking in the morning sun
Have a healthy breakfast

For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western food. Japanese food is especially recommended. It is a menu that will make you feel relieved from the morning, such as rice with earthenware pot rice with Uonuma Koshihikari rice dipped in dashi-maki tamago and grilled fish.

rincappu0514

We had a Japanese set meal for breakfast. The white rice freshly cooked in the earthen kiln was glossy and delicious, and there were many side dishes, so I ordered another one♪

Check-out10:00

be drawn in unintentionally
spectacular art

You can appreciate the art in the hotel until you check out. There are eye-catching works of art scattered throughout the building, such as Tomohiro Kano's glass art and Tokichiro Tokuriki's majestic fusuma paintings.

rincappu0514

After breakfast, I spent time in the private bath and looking at the art works in the hotel. I was so happy to see my favorite Sugahara glass tableware at the gift shop!

Sightseeing11:00

``Only in Atami''
Looking for souvenirs

In Atami, there are plenty of souvenirs such as onsen manju, sweets such as retro cute Atami pudding, and deep-fried kamaboko. How about getting some delicious dried fish souvenirs at Kamatsuru, a long-established store that has been around since the Edo period?

rincappu0514

I bought recommended dried fish such as horse mackerel and alfonsino at "Kamazuru Himo Honten" and went home. The taste was solid and my husband went with sake, and I went with rice.
