Experience
memorable birthday celebration
Two days spent looking at the sea and the moon
A woman who has stayed at Izu Hokkawa Onsen Kissho Caren for three consecutive years since 2018 shares the course she chose when she celebrated a friend's birthday at the hotel in 2020.
First day
Start11:00
About 80 minutes by car from Atami Station to the inn
Arrive at Atami
Visit popular spots♪
The area around Atami Station is dotted with popular spots such as stylish cafes, power spots, and gardens where you can enjoy the beauty of nature. At the superb view cafe "Flower Fairy", you can relax in front of the sea.
Check-in14:00
Arrive at the inn
at afternoon tea
an elegant moment
After check-in, you will be served afternoon tea as soon as possible. The pancakes that are baked in front of you have a special taste. Let's take a break with tea that can be expected to have a beautiful skin effect ◎
I listened to the explanation while receiving a welcome drink, and after that, I had freshly made hot pancakes and Izu specialty "Guricha". My body warmed up ^^
Room15:00
Luxurious time admiring the sea
Relax in your room
All rooms have an ocean view, and you can overlook Sagami Bay. All guest rooms are Japanese style. There are rooms ranging from standard rooms to rooms with fine-view baths and terraces, so you can choose from a variety of scenes and purposes.
I stayed in a large corner room. All rooms have a large sea in front of you, so you can relax while looking at the sea ◎
Onsen16:00
Change into a cute yukata
Indulge in a tour of hot springs
There are a total of 18 types of onsen, including the sister facility Tsuruya Kisshotei. You can enjoy the luxury of natural onsen drawn from two private hot spring sources. Towels and lotions are also provided at each bathhouse.
I changed into a colored yukata in my room and went around the hot springs. The open-air bath with a view of the sea was comfortable, and the infinity bath made me feel like I was immersed in the sea.
Freetime18:00
Even after getting out of the bath
relaxing
Barley tea, sports drinks, and a glass of Izu specialty Tokoroten and beer or aloe juice are served in the evening. It is also recommended to relax in the lounge ◎
After getting out of the bath, I spent some time in the lounge, drinking coffee and tea, reading books and chatting with friends until dinner.
Dinner19:30
Izu mountains and sea delicacies
to your heart's content
For dinner, you can choose from three options: French kaiseki, Japanese kaiseki, or teppanyaki. Enjoy the fresh seafood and mountain delicacies unique to Izu, such as red snapper, spiny lobster, Amagi shamo chicken, and angelica tree leaves, and be pampered by this gourmet meal.
They prepared champagne and cake for my friend's birthday celebration service! I was happy that the photo I took at the celebration was given to me the next day ^ ^
Spa21:00
in a real spa
Relax from the bottom of your heart
"Kissho Spa" in the hotel is a full-scale spa facility. Soothe your mind and body with thalassotherapy using seaweed and sea mud, and local beauty treatments using camellia oil from Izu Oshima and Izuguri tea.
The treatment in a private room made me feel luxurious. GOTO Travel's regional common coupon can be used at the spa, so I got a free treatment ◎
Night22:00
look at the moon road
romantic night
The fantastic Moon Road, which appears on the sea surface at full moon night, can be seen from the open-air baths and guest rooms. There is also a romantic legend that if you pray towards the Moon Road, your wishes will come true.
In the evening, I went back to the lounge for some sweets. There were many types of drinks available, including coffee and matcha latte. I spent some relaxing time here before going to bed.
the 2nd day
Morning06:30
beautiful sunrise
my heart trembles
Wake up early in the morning and watch the sun rise over the horizon. Guests can spend a luxurious time soaking in the bath while watching the sunrise in the guest room with a view bath.
I woke up early in the morning and waited for the sunrise while drinking hot tea. I was able to enjoy an extraordinary feeling as I watched the sun rise over the ocean in front of me.
Breakfast08:00
Feel the luxury
Teppanyaki breakfast
Breakfast is an iron plate or a Japanese meal. We recommend the teppanyaki breakfast where you can enjoy a live atmosphere. Pancakes, French toast, egg dishes, and tomorrow's sausages are prepared by the chef right in front of you.
Breakfast is the same as dinner, and it's a teppanyaki course. I love omelettes and French toast that are made in front of me, so I always choose Teppanyaki! It is exquisite ^ ^
Check-out10:00
leave the inn
relax
check out
Enjoy tea time in the lounge, and check out the souvenir shop where Izu sweets and specialty products are lined up. Spend a luxurious relaxing time until check-out.
Even at the time of check-out, I had a drink in the lounge and had a relaxing time until the end ^ ^
Shopping11:00
About 80 minutes by car from the inn to Atami Station
full of excitement
Searching for “delicious food” in Atami
Looking for souvenirs at the shopping street in front of Atami Station. There are plenty of products that are unique to onsen, such as sweets such as hot spring steamed buns, retro-cute Atami pudding, deep-fried fish cakes, and dried fish caught in the nearby sea.
There aren't many sightseeing spots in Izu-Atagawa, which is the closest to the hotel, so I bought some souvenirs at the Atami station building and went home. I buy it every year at the famous "Maruten" ◎
Return trip15:00
forever and ever
Give the gift of a memorable trip
For two days, I was thrilled with the beauty of the moon that I could see from my room, enjoying the delicacies of Izu on a live teppanyaki grill, taking a full-scale spa. Would you like to give a memorable memory on an important anniversary?

Stayed December 2020
The autumn leaves of "Atami Plum Garden" were very beautiful! A superb view cafe called "Flower Fairy" is also recommended ^^ The parfait is not only Instagrammable, but the quality is also high.
