Experience
first sleepover with baby
A two-day, one-night trip to Hakone that's safe for moms too
Mama Yui, who traveled to Hakone with her children, will introduce how she spent her time when she actually stayed at "Hakone onsen Yusakaso".
First day
Start10:00
About 90 minutes by car from Tokyo to the inn
Family of 3, to Hakone by car
drive slowly
Depart by car with plenty of time to spare. In Hakone, there are many sightseeing spots that moms and dads can enjoy whether their babies are napping or awake, such as the beautiful natural scenery around Lake Ashi and numerous museums.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
children welcome
Arrive at a pure Japanese style ryokan
Yusakaso is surrounded by a Japanese garden and has a pure Japanese appearance. At first glance, you might think that it's too difficult to bring children, but don't worry, the lobby has a children's space, nostalgic manga and picture books, and the atmosphere is welcoming with children.
I was relieved that all the waitresses were kind to babies and were very accustomed to dealing with them. There was a kids space next to the front desk.
Room15:15
4 room types
Pure Japanese-style room for peace of mind
There are four types of rooms: a guest room with an open-air bath recommended for onsen lovers, a guest room with a wide veranda perfect for enjoying the scenery, a two-bedroom guest room recommended for trips of three generations, and an affordable general guest room. Choose your favorite room according to your travel style.
Guest room with an open-air bath We stayed in a room called "Kintoki" with a size of 10 tatami mats. It was a low bed, so I didn't have to worry about falling down and it was a good height.
Freetime15:30
Full range of baby goods
Comfortable for both mother and child
The room is full of baby goods! We have Bumbo, diapers, butt wipes, trash cans for diapers, formula pots, etc. You will have less luggage. In addition, you can sterilize baby bottles with boiling water and warm up baby food, making you feel at home.
When I searched for "Inns that welcome children with children" in Hakone, this inn came out at the top, and there was a baby plan, and the variety and number of children's goods were by far the best.
Onsen16:00
In guest rooms and private baths
Enjoy the source
onsen at the inn are baby-friendly. There are 3 guest rooms with open-air baths, as well as a semi-open-air bath that can be reserved for 30 minutes free of charge, so you can enjoy onsen without bathing as a family. In addition, a diaper changing table and baby soap are available in the private bath.
I was able to enjoy onsen with my baby without hesitation. The open-air bath in the guest room is also a hot spring source, so it was very comfortable. The hot water was just right.
Dinner18:00
Relax with in in-room dining
Savor the flavors of Hakone
Unless there are more than 5 people, the price is in-room dining, and you can spend a moment of family gathering. Moms and dads who normally can't take their time meal will be able to enjoy the Kyoto-style Japanese cuisine. Tempura, grilled dishes, and fresh seasonal fish are also available.
I am very satisfied because I can eat a lot of seafood and mountain foods at the same time! It's light and very delicious, and if you're old enough to share it, you'll be satisfied.
Relax20:00
in the garden open-air bath
enjoy alone time
After meal, leave the baby to Dad and spend some time alone as a reward for Mom. It is the only open-air bath with mixed views in Hakone, but it is open only for women from 8pm to 9pm. The open scenery will soothe your daily fatigue.
the 2nd day
Breakfast08:00
Busy morning hours
Relax in in-room dining
You can have a breakfast set meal with dried horse mackerel caught at Odawara Port in your room. Mornings are busy with things like getting your baby in a good mood and preparing baby food, but thanks to in-in-room dining, you can have a relaxing morning.
The amount was just right in the morning and it was delicious. The rice was free to replace, and my husband was happy. It is helpful to warm up baby food.
Check-out10:00

In memory of your trip
Take a family photo!
After breakfast, take a break in the bath in your room or drink coffee in the lounge. Departure from the inn after being seen off by the kind and caring staff who are full of smiles.
The staff remembered my child's name and was always kind to me. The commemorative photo was also taken with consideration of the angle.
Sightseeing11:00
About 20 minutes from the inn to Lake Ashi
Around Lake Ashi
delicious lunch
Go to lunch while your baby is napping or when you are in a good mood. We recommend "La Terrazza Lake Ashinoko". Lunch at a wonderful location overlooking the mountains of Hakone and Lake Ashi is the best refreshment for moms and dads.
Visit Hakone Shrine and have lunch at the famous Italian restaurant La Terrazza Ashinoko. The deliciousness of the convincing that there is a line even before the opening. Especially the margherita was delicious.
Return trip14:30

To Lake Ashinoko, Hakone Ekiden Museum and Hakone Sekisho. The Hakone checkpoint was interesting because the old checkpoint was faithfully reproduced. As I went further in, I was relieved to see a lot of nature.
