Indulge in onsen in a hideaway with 13 rooms. A Japanese auberge standing in Kyoto's back room "Kameoka"
Kyo Yunohana Resort Suisen is about 40 minutes by car from Kyoto city. It is an auberge with 13 rooms in a quiet mountain area. The rooms are equipped with open-air baths, and in the large open-air bath you can enjoy the "Yunohana onsen" hot springs, where even samurai from the Warring States period soothed their bodies. Experience
Traveling alone at a luxury onsen ryokan
2 days and 1 night stay in Kameoka, Kyoto
A woman who visited Kameoka on her own traveled to Kameoka, where she actually stayed at "Kyo Yunohana Resort Suisen".
First day
Start11:00
About 15 minutes by car from the inn to Kameoka Station
Arrive at Kameoka Station
Experience the Hozu River Boat Ride
When you arrive at Kameoka Station, you will see a sign that says "Hozugawa Kudari". It is a boat ride down a mountain stream of about 16 km from Tamba Kameoka to Arashiyama, a scenic spot in Kyoto. The two-hour thrilling activity will become a memory of your trip.
Check-in15:00
Arrive at the inn
An inn surrounded by nature
Seasonal scenery welcomes you
Nestled in Kyoto's inner parlor "Kameoka", it is surrounded by the scenery of the mountains. When you step into the wide entrance, silence spreads. Relax with matcha green tea and seasonal Japanese sweets at check-in. There is also a shuttle bus from Kameoka Station to the inn.
Room15:15
with open-air bath
Spacious guest room
A bed is provided in the Japanese-style room, and the tranquil scenery of the satoyama can be seen from the open-air bath on the terrace. With a total of 13 rooms, this is a small inn, so it's a quiet place for adults to rest. Fully enjoy onsen in the open-air bath in your room.
Stayed in a Japanese-style double room with an open-air bath. A room with an open-air bath that draws on Yunohana onsen. You can see the garden from the open-air bath, and the rustling of the trees and the singing of the birds are soothing.
Onsen16:00
In the open-air bath in the large public bath
Enjoy Yunohana onsen
In addition to the baths in the guest rooms, you can also experience the open-air public baths and private baths. The Yunohana onsen is said to have healed sword wounds of military commanders during the Warring States period.
Spa16:30
pamper yourself
How about an esthetic?
After warming up your body in onsen, why not relax to the core with a treatment by an esthetician? At "Spa Rakuran (Lalang)", you can receive a spa that is conscious of Ayurveda. Spend a relaxing time as if you were in India.
Dinner18:30
in a private dining room
Suisen-ryu Creative Kaiseki
Dinner is served in an exclusive meal dining room with the chef's specialties. Whether you are alone or in a group, we are happy to serve you in a private room to give you a sense of privacy. The menu is gorgeous and seasonally conscious, using only the finest ingredients from Kameoka. Enjoy a variety of tastes.
Because it was a private room, I was able to relax without having to meet other guests. The sea bream soup and chrysanthemum soup were delicious. The aroma of specially ordered domestic grilled matsutake mushrooms was amazing!
Lounge21:00
quiet night
relax on the sofa in the lobby
In the lobby, there is also a nice service where you can freely enjoy coffee and tea. Bring a magazine or a book and relax.
the 2nd day
Breakfast08:00
beautiful and plentiful
exciting breakfast
For breakfast, a Japanese meal is served in a dedicated dining room. Side dishes decorated in cute small bowls and freshly cooked rice in an earthenware pot are lined up. Miso soup with dashi soup will permeate your organs. Let's smack our lips with rich taste.
Relax09:30
Spacious public bath
let's monopolize
Most of the guest rooms have open-air baths, so you might be able to use the public baths all to yourself. You'll be lucky if you can have such a large bathtub all to yourself♪ Lotions and milky lotions are also available, so let's moisturise your skin warmed in onsen.
After I finished meal I went to the public bath. Although it was a large public bath, I could use it like a charter.
Check-out11:00
leave the inn
Lobby overlooking the garden
check in out
Two days of relaxing in the tranquil air of Satoyama and fully enjoying onsen. Until check-out at 11:00, you can relax in the open-air bath in your room, or read a book or plan your trip in the lobby.
The service provided by the staff was polite! It was an inn where privacy was protected, meal was delicious, the open-air bath in the room was comfortable, and everything was wonderful.
Sightseeing12:00
About 8 minutes by car from the inn
Autumn is the best time to see cosmos
"Dream Cosmos Garden"
If you are visiting Kameoka in autumn, head to Yume Cosmos Garden. In autumn, you can see a pretty pink figure all around you. Let's take a cute picture and engrave it on a page of memories. There are also seasonal events and fresh vegetables.
Although it is limited to autumn, I went to Kameoka's "Yume Cosmos Garden".
Return trip14:00
in an adult hideaway
The finest hot water net.
"Yunohana onsen" is perfect for adults to rest, as it can be accessed from both Osaka and Kyoto city in less than an hour by car. Since long ago, there have been many visitors to the hot springs, so it is also a good idea to stay for several days to soothe your tired body. Relax at an inn with an open-air bath in your room.
